"The Hisense U7N and TCL QM7/QM751G QLED are closely matched, with the Hisense U7N having a very slight edge overall. The Hisense has better contrast with local dimming enabled, but the TCL has better blooming and lighting zone transition performance. The TCL is also a bit brighter in HDR, but the Hisense is much more accurate in HDR and SDR. The Hisense also has much better reflection handling, making it the far better choice when watching content in bright rooms, with the two TVs being more or less evenly matched in darker rooms." https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...0405/60899
While this is undoubtedly a great price, I'd recommend the TCL QM7 over it for gamers because the U7N exhibits red smearing/ghosting for video games. Sadly, a lot of Hisense TV's do. It's been an issue for years and they've yet to fix it. This is something that'll affect every single one of their TV's.
Additionally, a lot of Hisense TV's go bad after a few years, if that, because of an "insufficient memory error" that completely bricks their televisions. Google it if you doubt what I'm saying. It typically happens after about 2 years or so. It affects both lower end and higher end Hisense models.
When it comes to bang for your buck, you won't get better than the U7N and QM7, however I'd recommend the latter because of the aforementioned issues. Now, that isn't to say that TCL TV's don't have issues, as you could very much get a lemon from that brand, too, however it's not as common as with Hisense, and you won't get the red smearing/ghosting present on Hisense displays.

So looks like a toss up but the hisense has a 2 year warranty looks like vs 1 for the tlc..
This. The Samsung is 60hz refresh rate, vs 144hz here.
It's the QE1D series that's 60Hz. The QNX1D series is 120Hz. https://www.samsung.com/us/televi...nx1dafxza/
"The QNX1D, which is exclusive to Samsung's web store, has two feet instead of a center-mounted stand, but uses an identical panel, the same processor, and has the exact same features as the QN85D, so it should perform the same." https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...n85dd-qled

Is this considered "better" than the U7K?
"The Hisense U7N and the Hisense U7K are similar, but the U7N is a bit better in several ways. The U7N is brighter overall, so it handles more glare in a bright room when watching SDR content, and highlights in HDR content stand out more. The U7N has better contrast thanks to its more effective local dimming feature, so blacks are deeper on it. The U7N also has much better PQ EOTF tracking, so it's more accurate with HDR content. On the other hand, the U7K has much better pre-calibration SDR accuracy, so it's better for those who care most about color accuracy without needing calibration." https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...0405/38182
Lowest price I've seen so far. This should be good for a covered patio. I'm hoping it's bright enough for daytime viewing
I bought this same set a few weeks ago (for $499, I think) -- my 2nd Hisense. In my opinion, these are hands down the brightest and most vibrant displays at this price range. It almost feels like stealing at $500.

Awesome, thanks! Im hoping to see the 65" in this U7 series come down closer to the $500 price point in the near future. I have the 55" U7K, and it has been amazing. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase again, or in this case extend to the U7N model.
