Additionally, a lot of Hisense TV's go bad after a few years, if that, because of an "insufficient memory error" that completely bricks their televisions. Google it if you doubt what I'm saying. It typically happens after about 2 years or so. It affects both lower end and higher end Hisense models.
When it comes to bang for your buck, you won't get better than the U7N and QM7, however I'd recommend the latter because of the aforementioned issues. Now, that isn't to say that TCL TV's don't have issues, as you could very much get a lemon from that brand, too, however it's not as common as with Hisense, and you won't get the red smearing/ghosting present on Hisense displays.

The U6N has some great settings to get the picture looking good, and I'm sure the 7N is even better. But beware it is a cheaply made TV, not sure how long they will last. I'd have bought this one if I didn't already have the other. dammit!
Only two hdmi 2.1 slots on this model bugs me a little but aside from that seems like a nobrainer.
I'm deeply in the Samsung eco system at home so watching for QNX1D to hit sweet spot
Otherwise I think I'll order for store pickup and then go get it on one of the last days if I decide to keep it.
Wondering if we might see a quality OLED around $600-$700 at this size?

To the TV experts out there, would you go with this or spend a few extra hundred to get a 55" OLED on sale assuming you had the extra money to spend. Thank you!

If the price difference was like $100 or so I'd go OLED, and might eventually, but these look great and I think most people will be plenty satisfied with the picture, even without regard for the cost savings.
I am not sure if that particular model is edge lit or not. https://www.rtings.com/research/t...longed-use
I have had a 2 year old Samsung QLED fail. This article explains why
Edit: I googled the model QNX1D. I believe it is not edge lit. So you should be good and others can weigh in. I'd still get an extended warranty on either of these TVs
