Sorry, I'm almost always plugged in so the battery has stayed at 80%. To address a few more comments in the thread:
Yes it's heavy, a plus as far as I'm concerned, very solid aluminum construction.
Yes, memory is soldered in, so are the batteries. Progress that us old guys have had to get used to :-)
And brightness is more than sufficient for my eyes. Even on my FL porch.
Touchpad, touchscreen, fingerprint sensor and lighted keyboard work very well. Fan is extremely quiet.
Not a gamer. My main use is MS Excel and Access, large spreadsheets and databases have loaded and processed quickly.
All in, very happy with the machine for my purpose.

How is the battery on this? How many hours are you getting with normal use.

Video I saw shows the battery can be taken out if I'm not mistaken.
Guess I stand corrected, battery can be removed/replaced by opening the case and unplugging connector.

This can be indicative of a touchscreen issue. I forget how, but there is a way to disable the touch functionality in Windows, which, if that fixes the behavior, indicates something is wrong with the screen that would warrant a return/exchange.

Bought last week for a work and play laptop for basics like Excel and Outlook and loving it. My 4 year old is enjoying practicing letters on the touch screen too. Feels very solid and durable. Did have a cursor issue that seems to be with Lenovos where the text cursor gets lost on the white background. Ran a quick fix I found online and problem solved. No other issues yet. Great machine for the price.

i bought this yesterday at bestbuy. i use a macbook pro as my main, but been really enjoying this. will use this to internet, test apps, view movies, solid/attractive build quality, very responsive, decent screen,, could be a little brighter, but ok. it's kind of a lowkey beast. does well in a variety of scenarios/uses. the touchpad is nice. touchscreen works well, no pen included. ample ports. could do without the number keys on the right and the speakers are ehh. dislike to be coerced to "sign in" to my microsoft account. haven't had any issue with the cursor. windows feels a little weird to me, but this laptop is going to get some good use.

Bought this, returning.

I like the solid feel of this, appears to be decent quality, but having serious issues...

- Screen light bleed, significant on dark background and oddly patterned. If it was evenly across the sides or top, bottom, etc. it would be tolerable, but it's like a cow spotted pattern on my screen on pitch black background.
- Defective WiFi. The WiFi adapter will randomly disconnect/reconnect, and eventually have some kind of fault where Windows stops detecting it (WiFi disappears from your connections in the Windows system tray, you can't even just reset it that way, you have to restart the whole computer). It's the Realtek 8852CE. Seems to be a common issue with Realteks per Google results.
- Small annoyance someone else mentioned: cursors disappear/not rendered on white backgrounds. Weird.

Costco has a Dell with very similar specs and price, the main difference is the Dell is not 2-in-1. Can anyone confirm which may be the better of the two?

Go to device manager and disable the hid pen, and see if it goes away. Future driver update likely solves it.

Can anyone please advise between this laptop and the one at Costco with the Intel processor? Its $100 more but has the Costco 2 year warranty. (Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i 16" Touchscreen Laptop - Intel Core 7 Processor 150U - WUXGA - 1920 x 1200 Display - Windows 11)

BB has a better warranty. With Costco you have to go through Asurion. With BB you deal with their Geek Squad tech support that is very hit and miss depending on what store you purchase it from.

I know this as I work as a vendor with BB and I also purchase from Costco. Asurion is not a bad way to go, but repairs on devices can be long and drawn out.
