Great laptop.
Abysmal battery life.
Meh deal. It'll get cheaper if you can wait.

I so wish they had finally swapped that proprietary power connector out for another USB-C PD port. Is there an engineering reason Lenovo keeps these proprietary power ports? The power brick is also bulky (not GaN) and very heavy.

Recently bought Lenovo laptop.. the Lenovo patches they push and you are prompted to install. It bricked my laptop. Warranty allowed me to mail to repair.. it's going to be a month b4 I might get it back. It needs a new hard drive but a month is needed. Omg should you even consider Lenovo??

i got 15 days to return to best by, what do i check for? keep talking me out of this thing.

cons so far:

5lbs, heavy pig for sure. lol.

Just bit the bullet on this but my work discount brought it down $50. Couldn't decide between this and the mini led version with windows pro and 4060 for $300 more, but main use will be to edit photography and wfh, so I've read ips is more color accurate for this. Excited to load photoshop up and get to work once I can pick it up!

please talk me out of this laptop to return it. I had it on performance mode ealier...and finannly heard the fan noise and boy it got hot. Like 138 F degrees. but i had it on my matteress with no airflow. eeeh.


FYI everyone, purchase the best buy Open Box of this one and get it shipped if you want it. Thats what I did and the open box item was BRAND NEW, never used with all stickers never broken. open box for the win!

This thing is fantastic if you are OK with a 2.4kg laptop. (All high performance 16-17" laptops weigh 2.4kg + 600g for the power brick...) No need to return it. It is fantastic in all the ways you interact with it day-to-day: the screen, the speakers, the keyboard. Oh that keyboard! Nobody even comes close to Lenovo's!

How much did you pay for 'Open Box' if I may ask?
How is the battery life when you productivity / web browsing / YouTube, etc. (i.e. not gaming)?

hi. Paid 1164 plus tax came out to 1280 to LA, ca. i have really used the battery much., as it always stays home.
