It's not a great deal. Amazon had 7800 XT's on sale for $427 for prime day. I expect the 7800 XT will be that price or lower next week. Watch for the 7900 GRE too, it's a little better for about $50 more

Newegg says they are running their BF sale now, so I've been purchasing components at about 15% off with a few bundle discounts. Should I wait? Do they typically offer more deals closer to BF?

Newegg usually has some items marked down further on BF and cyber Monday.

The Newegg website tells you if a given product has price protection, which means that, if the price goes even lower during Black Friday / Cyber Monday, you can get a partial refund. Just check the product page and read the fine print to make sure.

I am now a fan of Sapphire after getting my 6650 this summer. I had to return an XFX (artifacts) and Powercolor (random black screen). If this drops to $399, AMD will fix the glut of RDNA3 gpus.
