Here is the process for the price match with Google Store. I just did it.

Take a screenshot of the offer
Make your purchase on the Google store
Contact Support on Google Store using "Contact us", and choose price match for the topic
Inform the support person about your request and share the screenshot.
You may get the following response:
"Please be advised that a price match can be processed once your order has shipped or delivered from the Google Store. Even if the price at authorized retailers of Google store changes after your order has been shipped, we will honor the price match, provided that the lower price was active at the time you placed your order."
There would be a follow-up email to help with price match.

You need to order first, and once the item dispatches, you can request for the refund. Make sure you take all the screenshots and submit the request while the product is still in stock.

FYI, google store has pixel 9 at 30% now which is 559.3$ (10$ more than amazon) with 150$ trade in (for an old samsung S10+) 2% cash back. I have requested a price match through their automated service and waiting for a response.

P9 should've been 550 at launch lol

I switched to a Galaxy after my 6a has connectivity issues like missed texts, began getting glitchy two years in... BUT I will say the P9 series has the same modem as the S24 series so missed texts shouldn't be an issue now

Pixel phones are consistently reviewed as having some of the best (if not the best) cameras across all phones. If camera/picture quality are your highest priority it would be worth looking at the Pixel 9 Pro.
