Here is the process for the price match with Google Store. I just did it.

Take a screenshot of the offer
Make your purchase on the Google store
Contact Support on Google Store using "Contact us", and choose price match for the topic
Inform the support person about your request and share the screenshot.
You may get the following response:
"Please be advised that a price match can be processed once your order has shipped or delivered from the Google Store. Even if the price at authorized retailers of Google store changes after your order has been shipped, we will honor the price match, provided that the lower price was active at the time you placed your order."
There would be a follow-up email to help with price match.

Its absurd that Google's price match instructions specifically require you to submit a link, and specifically state that a screenshot is NOT acceptable. Then they turn around and deny the claim without a screenshot??

I had assumed that Google, in all their sophistication, had a system in place that would automatically grab a then-current image of the link page when these claims were submitted, preserving the "history" and avoiding the theoretical possibility that someone could edit a screenshot. Obviously they aren't so smart.

Thank you, I have sent these to the customer care rep. The guy did not want to pricematch citing that amazon is OOS but fingers crossed.

The Google Store price match process is garbage. I contacted Google Store before purchase and was advised that the phone needed to be shipped first. I took a screenshot and submitted the match after the device was shipped. Was told to give Google 48 hours for everything to process.

Well 48 hours came and went and nothing. Had to chat with Google Store "support" and got the feeling they wanted to welch on the deal. Luckily for me they approved such without much pushback, but I'm still a bit peeved that this had to be done.

Good to know for the future. Take screenshots and reach out ahead of time if possible; get the chat transcripts as well.

Successfully got pro-rated refund after 48 hours of sending them shipment notification. Definitely always include screenshots in original chat and in follow up email, as they are definitely slow to respond.

Got denied twice separately - call as well as email. I bought the Pixel 9 Pro 128gb in obsidian color. The price on Amazon is still $799 but Google support flatly refused stating that the final price after discounts was less than that.. they are not price matching with the original price in Google store but the order total. So, a big YMMV.

Now, I need to refuse the delivery as I can't cancel the order.
