Hisense U70N has 800 nits brightness and 256 local dimming zones
TCL QM7 has 2400 nits brightness and 1500 local dimming zones
i shouls also note that the costco model has a better backlit remote vs the u76n sold elsewhere and the Google play store credit is exclusive to the costco model ..
I know on paper it doesn't have as good of specs than this TCL since it's a qled and fewer dimming zones but I can tell you it's plenty bright and the picture is incredibly good. This is coming from A Sony 75" xr75x90cj. The black levels are better on the Hisense.
Also bear in mind that the TCL main board is really outdated compared to the Hisense u70n / u76n.
Hisense is wifi6e, gigabit ethernet and NextGen ATSC 4k Ota tuner.
the TCL is wifi 5, ATSC 1.0 tuner. Also don't think the hdmi refresh rate is as high.
At the end of the day, it's really hard to beat the costco deal as once you add up the 5 year warranty, it's a $500-$600 price difference.
These guys are crushing it w mega tvs and they are both vertically integrated making their own panels so they have a significant cost advantage over Samsung, Sony and others.
