This is a 20-core model and the price for the same item is $2199 on Apple education store. If you are attempting to trade-in your old apple laptop, at least for my model, bestbuy offers a way better value for my trade-in item

It's crazy that Apple doesn't offer any 16-inch M4 Pro configs with 1TB unless it's a "custom" build. Best Buy, MicroCenter, Costco, etc all get the standard SKUs of the 16" M4 Pro with 512GB only. All part of the ladder to get you to spend more than you need by going Max.

Did you actually look at what you posted? 7.5lbs, 300 nit 1080 screen, Ryzen 5, 512/8gb. Seriously? How old is that thing? A base 16gb MacBook Air would probably run circles around it.

One of best deals on MacBook Pro 16 M4 currently. You can stack Amex and other points websites to get even more redemption

Many of these are the same price on Amazon and Apple Education store. Apple Edu will save you $40 if you're buying the 3 yrs of Apple Care. So be sure to check there as well. EDIT: To whoever downvoted: instead of the completely useless thumbs-down, why don't you explain why this comment isn't valuable so people can learn from your expertise?
This Best Buy deal is $100 cheaper than Apple website for the 16" Pro w/24GB RAM. $2,299.00 at Apple website and $2,199.00 at Best Buy.
Anyone know if Apple will price match Best Buy? lol (seriously)

If you have a Chase Freedom + Payal Pay account - This month's 5% cashback is using Paypal Pay. If you log into your Payal there is also a link to add additional 5%. This is the only double cash back I'm aware of with BB.

Agree 100%, 14" is too small, and so is 512GB. The open box deals from Best Buy are pretty nice sometimes when there's also a sale, it's a shame.
Guess I'll just wait for Apple refurbished deals later, I'd love a 16" 24GB / 1TB with the nano texture screen, but that's $2849 from Apple.

In the old days, retailers would not even stock "custom" or BTO orders like they do now. Typically for any given Mac, there were three standard SKUs ("good/better/best") that you could get right away. Else the authorized reseller would order a custom config from Apple.

The primary difference is Apple is a much stronger company now, so their sales volume (demand) can justify stocking more configs than just the basics.

Hard to say for sure, but these are Black Friday deals so I wouldn't expect much better in the near future. Also these M4 MacBook Pros are brand new models, so don't expect any "clearance" type pricing soon.

I believe the last time there was a big deal was when Micro Center opened its store in Indianapolis. Somehow people were able to price match with Best Buy to get what should have been a single-city deal.

If Trump slaps a massive tariff on Chinese-manufactured goods next year, Apple is gonna have a huge problem. My gut tells me that U.S. corporations won't stand for such broad tariffs, but right now it's anybody's guess.

I tried so many times to match the $1799 deal for the 1TB M3 Pro at the Indianapolis Microcenter store through the Best Buy chat with several different agents, but I had no luck. A few manage to squeeze through though

Ok thanks - I did not know there was a $ limit.

I would rather buy from Apple since I get 12 months same as cash - 0% on their card.

M4 pro, 24gb ram, 1Tb for $2099 is NOT a deal. You can buy this configuration on Apple education store for $2029. Apple doesn't verify anything.
