Not sure if price has been lower historically, I've only been following this item for the past 6 months but seems like a great deal on the Logitech edition if you're looking to buy now at $499.99 instead of $599.99
I have it and absolutely love it paired with my direct drive logitech pro wheel/pedals. It can handle Direct Drive wheels no problem, very light yet sturdy. Seat is super comfortable too.
