You can get 65" Hisense and TCL, Google and Fire TV's for the same money. Not bottom tier either. QLEDS. They're all over the place.
And for just a little more, $50 -$100, good mid-tier models that would be more enjoyable to own.

I recently lost a TCL 65R615 and want to replace with equal or better but it's been 4 years since I bought it and I'm not up on all the tech and model changes.

It's big and cheap, and pretty similar to what would have been a midrange 5 years ago. 60Hz panel with either "motionflow 120" or "motionflow 240" depending on which marketing bs you're reading. Consider it just a 60Hz. Fast motion stuff isn't pretty. Contrast isn't great. Won't do well in a really bright room.
Most of the warts are visible if you're looking for them, and less so if you aren't pixel peeping.
Perfectly good tv for the $, especially considering the size. I'm using it in a dark room with a good dolby atmos sound system. I'd have preferred it at this $699 price, but I'm just outside of the price match window.
I have other midrange sony and a hisense u8. The u8 is prettier if you're scrutinizing it closely while watching HDR or fast motion content, The a6 isn't far from the midrange sony, although that has a true 120Hz panel like the u8.
I wouldn't think that this would be great for gaming, but I'm not using it for that.
This won't fit in any car or SUV. You'll need a pickup or a trailer. I managed to get it home on my trailer and bring it up 5 flights of stairs in my house by myself, put the legs on it and got it on a stand.
Lastly, it has two positions for the legs. The short one is actually 32", which is really narrow for an 85", but it fit great on the stand and is plenty stable. No option to mount it where I have it.
One last observation. Hisense screens break pretty easily, and Sony screens just won't break. My dog has one of the old Sony 65"ers to watch dog videos and he's practically bored a hole in the center of the screen without breaking it. He lunged at a 75" hisense once and cracked the screen.
