For those confused on the various 8bitdo controllers, this reddit post can help: https://www.reddit.com/r/Controll..._ultimate/

Personally I'm waiting to see if there's additional sales on the 2C. If you 1) want a dock, 2) have an Xbox and want a wired controller, 3) want remappable buttons, or 4) are really, really particular about your d-pads, then this might be best for you. None of those apply to me and I'd rather the extra features on the newer, cheaper model.

I have a set of these controllers and they're great except the dock has a super bright LED bar that blasts white light 24/7 when the controller is fully charged. You can modify the dock easily by unsoldering one of the wires to disable the light but it's very annoying design choice when the previous ultimate docks had the opposite behavior (light turns off when charging is done).

I bought the white one a couple months ago. Works great and confirmed Bluetooth pairing with PC too. Better than the Ultimate one IMO since it has the regular PC control scheme.

The 2C has been great. Its a no brainer compared to Xbox controllers at the same price for PC.

I bought the purple one a couple of months ago and Amazon still hasn't shipped. My order from Oct, 9th is still in "received" status.

I have a steam controller and steam Link and PC should I still get this?

Do these have good tension on the thumbsticks? I hate loose thumbsticks and almost all controllers I try are too loose.

These are great for iPad, macs, iphones, windows computers, Androids, but dont work for for Switch. Pretty great $40 controller, but that is my annoyance. If anyone has a workaround, let me know.

In dock mode. You can plug the adapter to the dock. I believe it will work then.

If the switch is modded. You can also try Mission Control. Although I am not certain it will support it.

I had to downgrade the firmware from my Xbox controller for it to work on my switch. (Downgrade to disable/remove Bluetooth LE)

Thank you - I read through the whole post and found it interesting. However I'm still "ultimately" confused which controller this sale is for, because 8bitdo literally couldn't have created a more confusing naming scheme 😂
