12 years with T-mobile. Zero issues with promotions or rebates. Had a problem with $75 rebate through Costco Moto Edge deal 2022, blame Costco for misleading information. Reached out to support and they credited my account instantly.

If setting up a new T-Mobile account, and a credit check is needed, be sure the temporarily lift your freeze (unfreeze) at all three credit bureaus. It'll save you the trouble of having to contact them via chat or by phone.

Same happened to me, but I read in T Mobile forum to go through facebook customer service since the ones one the phone were so rude and would only give me a $100 credit. They ended up giving me a $389 credit which was what they valued the TV at.
Yep, I did that and got my tv.

I thought this offer was for a $300 virtual prepaid Mastercard. Is this not better? Seriously confused.
+1 as others mentioned, they keep changing the Promo Visa GC value each month
Oct 2024: $200 Visa GC
Mid-Nov 2024: $150 Visa GC or 40" Fire TV
Mid-Dec 2024: $300 Visa GC

My earlier comment was made when this thread was discussing the Mid-Nov Low-ball offer during the season of BF/CM. The current $300 Visa GC promo is truly better than the past ones and can be a MM if T-Mobile honors the terms.

Context: I just cancelled my T-Mo Home Internet account very recently. I'd like to avail this offer of $300 Visa GC. So I'm wondering if signing up using the same address, but using my Partner's name, would make this eligible.

I'm hopeful because T&C doesn't mention anything 'per household' - so technically my partner living in the same address signing up for a new T-Mobile Home Internet line, should be a different 'account' and a different 'customer' altogether (We don't use T-Mo Postpaid, so we'd need to pay $55 full-price for Home-internet line). That means my partner should be able to get this Promo rebate, ain't it?

I'd really like to see any data-points of anyone having did this successfully - i.e. Successfully get T-Mobile rebates multiple times per household using different names and accounts within 90 days.

Be aware they hard pull your credit too. No other reason why I'd need to unfreeze it to have them run this: soft pulls don't require that.

I just signed up yesterday and as far as I can tell, it was a soft pull. There's a promotional inquiry on my Equifax. I didn't get any alerts about hard pulls and didn't see any on Experian/Transunion as of yesterday. YMMV

It's pretty normal to need to lift credit freezes for soft pulls, particularly if it's an institution you aren't currently a customer of. Some banks can still do soft pulls for existing customers with credit frozen.

Cool anecdote bro but you're wrong, T-mobile states, "By clicking the "Run credit check" button, I authorize T-Mobile to use the information I provide to obtain my credit history from credit reporting agencies, which may affect my credit rating. In addition, T-Mobile, its vendors and other third parties may use this data for fraud prevention and identity verification purposes."

Soft pulls don't impact credit, hard pulls do. Additionally, since they don't limit this to verification of identity, it's a hard pull. You can see this information here:

https://www.equifax.com/personal/...dit-report

They fact they are actually assessing credit, are a new customer, and going beyond identity verification means it's a hard pull, you likely just haven't had it reported on your report yet.

This is a good idea if you in your car a lot and know for sure that the areas you frequently go have good T-Mobile coverage. It's just basically a cellphone without the screen turned into a hotspot.

Remember that this is the same data that they already don't provide to cell phones. Unless you're near a major urban area you can be guaranteed that the service is going to be slow and erratic, i live outside of Nashville and there are several dead areas around town. Ironically right in front of the TMo store in my town the speed is less than 1 meg. TMo will not improve their network anytime soon. I wouldn't use this service if it was free

Looks like my post about the $300 T-Mobile Home Internet Virtual Mastercard from yesterday was either merged and combined with this one (or deleted), as the deals were similar. The moderator also just updated this post to reflect the $300 gift card that started yesterday.

The $300 Virtual Prepaid Mastercard offer started on 12/19 and is only available for online or virtual sales orders.

Rebate name: Internet ID240738

How to claim the $300:

Redeem at promotions.t-mobile.com after activation.

Enter promo code 240738, or select the correct dropdown options to see the $300 offer.
Can I use a different address as service address?
