Just returned our gateway this am. After a big outage earlier this week, this AM we woke to no internet. Tmo pushed an update to our gateway and bricked it. Our billing cycle starts on the 20th. Today is the 21st, they said they will cancel it next bill cycle - $46.45/mo for a service that barely worked and now I owe an extra month for a service I can't even use. Before the outage and before they bricked our gateway, it was pretty rough to use it. We could see speeds in the 70mpbs range at most, but it would drop and doing a zoom call across it was not feasible.

Did this last year for a free 43" Fire TV and fought them for 6 months and never got the TV rebate I followed all rules on. Be careful

A 4 series 43" is more of the "current" model, while they still sell the 2 series for ~80$ less at 150$. Just a general idea on value / recency of what you are getting.

Yesterday when I hooked it up I got 15Mbps but today I'm getting 1.19. If I cared I could try another window but Spectrum gives me 294.7Mbps.

Submitted for the promo, says it'll take about 3 weeks.

That 3 weeks is after the 60 days.
I got 40Mbps when it first came online then about 300Mbps. Not bad, but there could be others in the area with it who are out of town.
It's an ok service for basic use in my area but wired is usually preferable even if it costs more.
Might keep it for $10/mo backup service if they still offer that option in a couple months.

If you're thinking of using this to work from home using like a cisco phone that is voip, good luck. Keep getting disconnected with customers. Switched to fiber and no issues. Just doesn't work with that sort of stuff. Also still waiting a couple months from them to send me back my money, keep getting a monthly bill of negative $68.00 so not sure what they are doing....lol

Like just about everything, results will vary. I'm getting anywhere from 300mbps -1.2gbs down and up to 120mbps up. But it's usually above 800/50. I don't test often since I never have any issues.
I'm using it for work connected to zoom meetings all day and have not had any issues in the past year. I had this side by side with Comcast for testing and routinely got higher down and up speeds as well as lower latency. In the roast year I've had no outages whereas with Comcast I would have an outage a couple times a year.
It's free to try for a month and if it's not good in your area, return it.

Is this decent for a lot of streaming movies or will I wish I kept my antiquated DSL connection?

I have the business version of this but never stream..... billing is screwed, they cancel my service monthly, and I have to call in...and they never gave me the gift certificate, and I haven't had time to deal with it....service seems okay, but placement of the model is everything (place it upper floor), expect to buy an extender....and expect dead spots.

Yeah no the speeds are fine, I'm talking about using voip with a cisco office phone, the one that uses the ethernet port to make calls through the internet, Spectrum back then worked fine with my office phone, this did not. Now I have Race communications which works great as well. Its only when using a voip office phone for some reason their router just can't keep it connected to a customer call. Everything else with it is fine, but if its going to keep disconnecting me when talking to a customer, nah. Zoom is going to work of course thats through your computer, voip phones is a whole different ballpark

You can escalate this to the T-Mobile Emergency Response Team (ERT) and they will handle it for you within 7-10 business days. The only problem is that you need to initiate that process via postal mail. Send a letter detailing everything to:
T-Mobile Wireless
Legal Department
12920 SE 38th St
Bellevue, WA 98006-1350
Send it via certified mail and you will receive an email and a call from immediately after they have done all the research. This team has all the visibility into your plan and interactions with every single agent you ever called. They have transcripts and voice reccordings. Even your missed calls to 611/Customer Care are logged. So make sure you have gone through all the right channels before you escalate, because it will get resolved, one way or the other.

With a rechargeable battery? And you have to plug it into a computer's USB port to charge?

I am also interested in knowing that.
I don't see any contract so I think it should be fine but it would be great if anybody has done it.
It says that all we need to do is to visit a store to return equipment but cancellation after 60 days should be fine.

Got the backup home internet plan (130GB quota) for an uncle for $10/mo w/ autopay discount a few weeks ago. When I got it there was a $150GC deal, I went ahead and submitted it, I'll see I'm lucky. Uncle doesn't have home broadband service so the backup plan was perfect for him. Just light surfing and some youtubing

I tried the 5G home wifi earlier this year when they were offering a free Nintendo switch with sign up. We test drove it first for 10 days and it sucked. It would disconnect a lot and we experienced throttling during peak hours around 5-7pm. We ended up not signing up.

So how does this promo work? I have a bonus of $175 I think showing on capital one. So do I sign up via Capital One for the $175 then get the T-Mobile bonus $300 also? Can I cancel after 60 days without any issues?
