For the iPhone 16 Pro Max, if you buy through Walmart without a trade-in and switch carriers after 2 months:
• Device cost: $1,249 (Walmart price)
• 2 months of carrier fees: $150
• Subtract the $300 Walmart eGift Card: Final total = $1,099
• Add the $35 activation fee: Adjusted total = $1,134
• Compared to Apple's price of $1,199, the Walmart deal only saves $65.

Considering Visible's $250 gift card promo, it seems like a better deal for the iPhone 16 Pro Max than Walmart's offer.

For the iPhone 15 Pro Max, if you buy through Walmart without a trade-in and switch carriers after 2 months:
• Device cost: $879 (Walmart price)
• 2 months of carrier fees: $150
• Subtract the $500 Walmart eGift Card: Final total = $529
• Add the $35 activation fee: Adjusted total = $564
• This is $315 cheaper than the base Walmart price of $879, making the Walmart deal much better for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

So, for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, Visible's promo is the better option, but for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, Walmart's eGift Card offer provides significantly more value.

It is incorrect sorry..

Because "this deal" is a combination of GC and bill credits. Just because you personally only consider part of a deal doesn't change the posted deal itself, does it? If you want to just get GC, go for it. But, keep in mind that you have to pay tax on full retail price (more or less $100), activation fee, and the first month plan fee, although you may be able to get some back if you cancel immediately. Then go through unlocking process. In the end, it'll only be an OK deal. Not to mention, you are now forced to shop at Walmart. If you search for other deals, you can find better deals, some of which can be combined with cashback offers from CC and/or cashback sites (going through Walmart ruins this part). See several posts above yours for someone quoting a Fi deal for example.

This is incorrect, iPhone 15 promax is $1099 with the monthly installments ($30.53/month x 36) which is the only way you can purchase it

I think if we cancel the line early we can save plan fees and can request for waive off of activation charges

what you said here had some truth, but it's and partially false. Look at the iPhone 14 thread, which was the same thing kinda

You are right. I calculated 30.53*36=1,099.08. Sorry for incorrect info

I want to clarify how this works, assuming Verizon applies the trade-in credit as a DPP (Device Payment Plan) discount. For example, if I trade in an iPhone 11, I understand that I would receive $350 off the $1,099 cost of the iPhone through DPP (making it $749 after the credit). Additionally, I'd get a $300 Walmart eGift card.

If I keep the qualifying $75/month unlimited plan for two months (paying $150 total for service) and then cancel the plan after the phone is unlocked, I assume I would only need to pay the remaining balance of $749 on the phone in one lump sum. Under this assumption, I wouldn't lose the $350 DPP trade-in credit, and the Walmart eGift card would remain valid since it's not tied to continuing service.

Is my understanding of how the credits and gift card work correct if I cancel the service early?

All right I think there is no trade-in promo for Verizon…

This is 2 deals in one post. Gift card deal and trade-in bill credit deal. If you can take advantage of only one deal, it is still a deal.

After you buy the iPhone and activate it with Verizon, can you use it with US Mobile's Verizon MVNO? I'm wondering if this sequence of events would work?

Step 1: Buy iPhone through Walmart
Step 2: Pay off iPhone by logging into My Verizon -> Device Overview -> Manage -> pay off balance
Step 3: Add US Mobile (Verizon network) eSIM as secondary eSIM, turn off primary Verizon eSIM
Step 4: After receiving Walmart gift cards, cancel Verizon account, get prorated refund for first month's service
Step 5: Keep using US Mobile (Verizon network) eSIM
Step 6: 60 days after purchase, iPhone automatically unlocks, you use it as normal like an unlocked iPhone

Or do you have to buy the iPhone, pay it off, cancel your Verizon account, and then wait 60 days without using it for it to automatically unlock, before using it with a Verizon MVNO?

Seems like the 15 Pro is the best deal. $900 for the phone but $450 back in gift cards = 450.

Sell my current 13 Pro for $350 or so, so $100 upgrade for a fresh battery, AI, satellite messaging and USB C. Seems worth it.
