Can someone clarify please?? If I do the trade in and get $1000 trade in credit and cancel the line before 36 months, do I need to pay the $1000 outstanding payment in order for the device to be eligible for unlock?
How would you do a 1000 trade in Credit? 1000 credit is towards the bill meaning you will need to be with them for 36 months, you can get giftcard which can be upto 500 bucks, we dont know how much they will give you for your old phone or there is a way to know upfront.

I would just flip the old phone on criags/ebay etc and get the giftcard. if you plan to stay with Verizon and or ATT then the 1000 credit would be beneficial.

Agreed, that's definitely a risk. Though someone posted in the iPhone 14 deal that T-Mobile was able to Unlock the Verizon iPhone.
In my case, it was a gift for my daughters birthday, I didn't want to give her a phone that she couldn't use for 60 days. So rolled the dice, plan to ask T-Mobile to unlock after a couple of months.

By the way, I had the same thoughts as you when I decided to skip Verizon activation, this is my post on the iPhone 14 deal
Were you able to get tmobile to unlock your iPhone 14 as that what I'd like to do as well.

Can someone help me with AT&T trade-in process? I was able add iphone 16 Pro to the Walmart cart for a new line and I don't see any trade-in option over there. Do I need to place my order and only after activation can i trade-in my old phone?

Haven't asked them yet (will wait 40 days). As I mentioned, someone else was able to do it, see this Post

Few questions:
1.) I am with Boost Can I get AT&T iphone 15 pro max deal with $500 GC and not looking for trade in?
2.) How many days will it take to get the GC?
3.) Once I get the GC Can I pay off and once unlocked can I Move back to any other carrier?
4.) Is there any commitment like 30/60/120 days before I transfer without tradein?
5.) how many day will take to start shipping ?
6.) while in shipping can we payoff in full and cancel the line and still receive the gc?
7.) can we activate the phone on different carrier without any issues?

What's the mobile share plan? Do you already have a plan with Verizon/ ATT?

I am unable to proceed without choosing a plan.
An old grandfathered plan from AT&T before they went all in with unlimited plans

So this looks like a decent deal. I have a s23+ work fine. But did have moisture and will only charge wireless... what are the odds this would work on trade in. (Phone is paid for) no crack or scratches. Just the charging situation

It is a bill credit e.g if the device cost is $30/mth and your credit is 27.77 (1000/36) then ATT charges you 2.23/ mth fir 36 months.
If you cancel early, you will owe the device balance i.e. 30× months remaining and your 27.77 credit stops.

So no, if you sign up, you are locked for 36 months unless you are prepared to pay the tensing balance in full.

I Placed an order for 5P with ATT (no trade-in) and an hour later received an email stating my order is cancelled. I called CC and they said they said something couldn't be verified hence they cancelled it. I am not sure if I place another order, will they do the same ?
