Do you have the new phone you want to upgrade to on VZW? I've seen that initially the value of the trade-in is the market value. To get the promotional trade-in value, you need to add the upgrade device to your cart. This at least allows you to view the promotion is there - just not sure if VZW would apply it if you upgrade at Walmart and attempt to apply it after point of sale.
That is exactly the question. I see the promotional trade in value if I try to upgrade on VZW. If I try to trade this in after the fact, I have no clue what I will get. I'm not sure if anyone has any data points, but I would guess the answer is no

I chose not to chance it. I do think it would work but if it doesn't, there's no recourse.

How does the trade in process work for Verizon? Most of the fine print is all geared towards ATT.

Just finished the entire process with ATT. (no TI)

Friday :
Got the iPhone 15 PM in store, got the $500 GC before I left the counter. Transferred the eSIM to unlocked iPhone. Placed a few calls. Can see ATT sees the old phone.
Skip to Sunday:
requested unlock to ATT, got approval in minutes. Then transferred MVNO line to phone to complete process. Then ported out ATT line to close the account there. Zero balance.
Thanks for a great deal! Probably could do all of it the same day, but saw no issue with waiting until day 3 to finish everything.

FYI, you can transfer the eGiftcard to physical at Walmart customer service and it can used at Sam's Club without a membership, including the fuel pumps

I have to ask. Don't you need to pay for the phone you received at some point in that process? Or is that a loophole here?

The thought of dealing with Walmart for a cell phone for a $300 or $500 gift card doesn't entice me very much, but if there is GC plus a free phone--well then we are talking!

Thanks!

I ordered the AT&T i15Pro on Monday. I paid it off Wednesday night while it was in transport and the website went from showing 36 installment payments to paid off a while later. It was delivered yesterday and I followed the SIM swap steps to the letter, yet the unlock kept saying "You can't unlock your device until your installment plan is paid off". Based on that, I expected I would have to wait the full 60 days to unlock, but I tried again this morning and it went through just fine. I believe I saw a mention of 48 hours somewhere and that seems to have been it -- I was able to unlock it 48 hours after paying it off but not before. Just throwing it out there, I know some have been able to unlock right after paying it off, but not me. Canceled the line via online chat, she wanted me to call the loyalty dept. but I asked her to do it online and she transferred me to another chat rep who did it. Now just to wait for the $450 GC...
Hi @lk0123, thanks for the detailed steps.

I also had exact same experience as yours.

One question, do you think we will receive the Walmart GC even if we cancel the line early ?

Thank you

So phone was fully activated at the store and opened and powered up before you left and received the GC?

When did you pay off the phone..when you got home on Friday before doing the sim swap or after that and before requesting the unlock from ATT?

What is your final price for iPhone 15 PM? I see ATT has iphone 15 (lower model) for $5.99/36 months and wondering if I should do that?
Just need the final price (fine with a contract)

It was a port out which automatically cancels the line.

That makes sense! I finally got my phone unlocked but today is Sunday. I got it in store on Friday around 2pm so I guess I still have Monday 2pm to cancel it. But did you have to pay activation fee if you port it out to another carrier?
