Would get 25-30 $ per month easily I think. Verizon Contract plan is minimum 75$ per month for this deal.

Few guys may want to resell it too
And some people don't need unlimited plan.. my typical annual cell service expense is around $100 USD (hopping between plan to take advantage of promo)

Does iphone 13 pro (256) qualify for 1000 credit, its value at AT&T is showing as 225 and not 230??? Anyone got credit approved yet.

Order #2 moved to Preparing. Breathing a huge sigh of relief.

TLDR: Since phone is IN TRANSIT, iPhone was never "actually" activated on Vz. IDK if you buy in-store if you can "request" to "not" activate phone at point of sale. Maybe use the excuse "It's a gift, and I want them to know it's not been used"? The key here is to NOT activate phone with Vz if you want to get the code 4000 Flex status. Once you actually activate, I believe you need to wait the 60 days.

Here is how my order #1 went:

Placed online order Wednesday night. Made sure to capture phone number from Walmart docs.

Created Vz account with email address that was entered in Walmart order flow.

Got an email from Vz saying "your account was updated". Associated phone number to online account. Received email from Walmart saying phone shipped. Found doc in Vz account with IMEI. Looked it up with sickw. Showed locked to Vz (2347 maybe). Downloaded all Vz docs since I plan on closing account and might need them later. Per other reports, once account is closed, docs vanish.

Added CC to Vz account. Called special number from non Vz phone to pay off device. Used live chat to close account effective immediately. Final bill <$10. Looked up IMEI on sickw: now showing code 4000 Flex. As /u/unbreakable, I'm keeping the phone and not flipping it, so I really don't care if it's "locked" to my carrier (Tmo) for months or whatever. I can request unlock later, and hope for the best.

If I wanted to sell, I'd definitely activate with Vz, close account immediately and wait for 60 day unlock. Since they are Christmas presents (which is less than 60 days away), I'm more interested in the Code 4000 Flex, and give to kids - even if it "locks" them to Tmo.
Thanks for this -- I'm all set up to do the payoff but I'm going to wait for the device to arrive. Seems like a hassle to refund paid off device with canceled service if there's an issue with delivery.

Mine is coming via ONTRAC which I don't trust -- do you really have to sign for it?

Also, has anyone seen how the Verizon device payoff codes? Could I get 5x cashback with chase ink? Usually straight equipment purchases do not code as telephone service but hopeful about EIP payoff.

That's fair about waiting for the device to arrive, however, I wanted to avoid the $35 activation fee by Vz. I feel like 3 days after the shipment notification, it'll be activated then and you're screwed out of that amount.

Mine was delivered by Lasership and I had multiple notifications that I would need to be present for it/sign for it/etc, however, they just left it on my doorstep and snapped a pic of it.

I can say that it hit my CC (non Chase, FWIW) as "VZWRLSS*BILL PAY VE 800", so I would suspect it would hit Chase Ink as a 5x eligible purchase, and I plan to do that on paying off the 2nd device....

which still hasn't actually shipped yet. Walmart committed to a delivery by Dec 8th (Sunday!) and I ordered on BF. I still have not received an email from Vz about the line activating, so I think the 3 day timer starts then.

Cool, today was the first day I was able to set up my verizon account and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow so I may catch it within 3 days... seems like you're a gambler and I respect that!

Thanks for the DP on the payoff amount

Most people are canceling the service within 3daya to avoid the activation fee $35. Also, WGC takes few weeks to receive for online orders.

I think it's YMMV based on the delivery company. Lasership dropped it on my doorstep.

I think Walmart expects a person with the same last name to sign for it at your address, but again, it's up to the delivery company to actually do it.

Is anyone getting below error while trying to raise unlock request through AT&T?
I was able to complete steps till eSIM swap correctly. But getting below error while putting request to unlock.
"We can't unlock your device. Service for this device was canceled within the 14-day return policy period."
Any previous experience if device will get unlocked automatically after 60 days or service has to be active for that?
Thanks for responses!
