Why your posts only show html tags on slickdeals mobile app!?. Others show correctly.
I didn't personally put any links in my post, but if you're referring to why the post I was quoting went odd with the link I honestly don't know.
I had hit the Reply button on the message that I was replying to just like I am here.
I'm not using the app, but I'm using an internet window on my phone.

I am so lost in the process can anyone please help me worship ?

I have a note9 as well as a note20 ultra that I could trade in.

I would be interested in iphone 15 pro max, s24 ultra, or s24+ - that I could eventually take to mint mobile or similar

1) I found the terms for ATT in post 1, it looks like I could trade in note9 for s24 ultra for $800 credit + $500 gift card; keep service for 30 days then pay off/cancel? But it says "bill credits may cease"

2) when do you need to trade in phone? if I need to send phones ASAP, could I do this and retain my old numbers?

3) If I am hoping to cancel and pay off (assuming I still get trade in credit), any benefit of going with verizon or att?

4) are the trade in credits the same for verizon? I see info for ATT but not verizon

5) if out of stock locally, can I buy online and still get $500 GC + trade in?
1. Gift card amount varies by phone. iphone 15 pro max jt is $500. Trade in credits are for 36 months billing only. If you cancel line you will NOT get credit.

2. Once you receive your new phone, you need to go to ATT store and start trade in process. As of what i read, verizon is not doing trade in for phone purchased at walmart.

3. No. You will not get credit. As of now, ATT is better for trade in as multiple people were able to do.

4. People who talked to verizon, most of them say no such trade in credit.

5. Yes. Be aware, Gift card will come at end of this month, so you need to pay activation fees and prorates charges till that time. Lots of people have cancelled before receiving GC, so if you are ready to take that much risk, you can cancel immediately.

Imo, if you want to NOT be locked in a 36month contract that you can't buy your way out of without it costing you all or part of your trade in device DO NOT trade in a device with ATT or verizon!

Those here who are buying the phone and cancelling in 3 days to avoid activation fees etc aren't doing a trade in because they don't want to be stuck in a 36 month contract that likely requires a higher priced plan to get the monthly phone discount/device credit for a trade in.

If you submit a trade in with most cell phone companies you'll only get a slight discount on your phone contract each month and it's spaced out over 36 months. If you pay off your phone contract early and go to another cell phone company you'll lose the rest of the bill credits from your device trade in.

I'd personally recommend that you find a third party place to sell your old devices and use that money to help pay off your new phone. I don't know of any reputable places, but others here likely do.

This is my first year hopefully getting this walmart gift card deal, so I'm personally hoping to bring my 2 ATT phone lines to verizon through Walmart.com to get the walmart gift cards.

Different to most others here I'm also planning on staying at verizon for 3-4 months so that I have phone contracts that are 90 days old so I can hopefully then get T-Mobile to pay off the rest of my phone contracts with their T-Mobile Keep and Switch deal that they've been running for years (last I looked they'll pay off up to $800/phone and up to 4 phones/account).

With T-mobile keep and switch you might have to first pay your current contract off before T-Mobile will reimburse you,
BUT if you have a Verizon contract once you hit 90-91 days of having a Verizon phone contract you can take screenshots of your account, phone contract, remaining balance for your phone and submit it to T-Mobile keep and switch to get a rebate (without changing your phone service to T-Mobile yet).
Around 15 days later T-Mobile will email a digital prepaid card up to $800/phone that you can use to pay off your verizon phone contract(s) and then finish going over to T-Mobile…

At least the iPhone 16 isn't eligible yet for T-Mobile Keep and Switch, but I noticed last year that slightly after the holidays the iPhone 15s were eligible. So around February/march the iphone 16 might be eligible for T-Mobile keep and switch if you've had it for over 90 days on a contract.
Repped for the help. Thank you.

I would think after they buy out your contract that you would need to be married to T-Mobile for a bit?

Could I theoretically do the verizon deal for 60+ days then T-Mobile keep and switch out, stay on for 60 days or so then port out to a postpaid carrier like mint/us mobile/etc

Im currently a tmobile customer, any issues with porting to verizon then tmobile doing the keep and switch (even though was prior tmobile)

Yes that's what I thought but they are saying the seller profile is deleted on their end so except canceling nothing they can do. I will be stuck with the monthly payment unless they cancel the line with att as they don't have the dessert titanium in stock anymore.

What do you mean seller? Did you buy from a third party seller on Walmart or Walmart was the seller?

Walmart was the seller. She said that internally, they buy from 3rd party companies. The person was not from the USA, so I'm trying to find a usa support agent to get more details. Thanks

Yah I agree you need to call them back. Tell them it's not your problem what they do with their suppliers. I would honestly just cancel the order and make sure your Verizon line is cancelled based on unable to fulfill so that Verizon doesn't hold you liable for the line.

Hi guys - I just want to upgrade my line and do a trade-in. When I go through the process online, I don't see any option for doing a trade-in. Is that a totally separate process?

Was anyone successful with purchasing an iPhone 16 Pro with more than 128GB storage and/or in a color other than Black or Natural Titanium directly from a Walmart store under the $300 gift card promotion? If so, can you please share the specs?
