iPhones are unlocked automatically 60 days after activation (with IMEI and a paid plan). You don't even need to open the box. Simply check sickw.com on day 60 or 61 and the status should show unlocked. You can then setup the phone anywhere, without or with a SIM from different service provider.

Bought this from previous deal.

Used edge with ms shopping which was 15% back last time. Bought 2 and showing $30 back pending on both transactions. It's 12% now and seems the best deal available.

I had chase offers on both freedom unlimited and CSR for 25% back capped at $15. Those both qualified so $45 cb plus standard cb from credit cards combined. I see the chase offers are back on both of those cards for me now; almost tempted to try and buy 2 more.

Received both phones, they will come with SIM card and instructions taped to back of iPhone box. Follow instructions which include going to straight talk activation website and inserting the sim. The silver, or whichever plan you choose, is tied to the sim and you will see a message to that effect when completing activation on the website. Once activated, text UNLOCK to 611611 twice and you will receive a response that lists the unlock date. You only have to pay 1 month of service and the device will unlock 60 days post activation.

Did you mean I should first set up the phone without any data/app transfer(just like I don't have any existing iPhone at all), activate the phone, make sure to get the unlock date. Then after it's unlocked(I don't mind to wait 60 days while I can continue using the old iPhone), then I do factory reset the phone, which could trigger "Quick Start" for the data/app transfer, is that right? I assume "factory reset" won't bring an unlocked phone to be locked again, is that correct?

For the initial phone setup(after I open the iPhone 13 box), should I first activate the phone online via ST's website, then insert the SIM card to the phone and power it on? or should I first insert the SIM card to the phone, power it on, then I activate the phone on ST's website?

Thanks again!
Activate the phone with the SIM card that comes with it as a new device. Do not transfer any data. Wait 60 days for unlock (text 611611 with UNLOCK to see exact unlock date). Once it unlocks reset the phone and transfer all your data. (Swap sims or activate eSIM)

Update to this. Ordered shipped fast. Got brand new 13 in box and physical sim, no Silver plan card. Called to activate. Couldn't locate my order by CC UPS Tracking and order number. Incredibly frustrating. Eventually transferred me, new Agent said my Silver Plan is on sim and activated me in about 15mins, unlock shows 1/25/25. If anyone watched Yellowstone last night and saw Beth activate a burner in five seconds, it takes longer! Ha ha ha

How do you get the 20% off?
Can't explicitly tell you without getting banned from slickdeals. But it you can't figure it out from my post I don't know what to tell you. It's a combination of cash back from the the sources I mention in my post. Two payment types and your browser. You get taxed on $244 and need to have a certain credit card. Hope this helps.

I got the phone today and Spoke with Customer care.

They confirmed that phone should be active with straight talk for 60 days to unlock the device.

If we want to unlock the device after 30 days or with out staying active for 60 days then there will be a additional charge to unlock.

Looks correct, you can activate either way, I go to the ST site, phone i bought from ST, get a new number, it'll ask for the imei, should say activating, put the sim in and turn it on. Make sure to go to ST site, the sim plg will say total or st, DON'T USE TOTAL..

You can believe them or multiple hundreds of SD users. Your choice.

Might want to READ any ST/TF/TW thread on SD. It's been confirmed for the past 3 years that unlock only requires 30 days paid service.
CS is wrong - they just want your $$.

Of course. Do you have a reason to think it wouldn't?

It shows $199 in store price Walmart with purchase of the silver plan. This phone screams Verizon all over, but I have AT&T prepaid! will it work for me??

Funny story, Last Black Friday 2023 I lucked out at my local Walmart the electronics coach let me purchase the
SE 2022 ST version brand new $50 each black Friday promotionwithout activation because their third-party phone activation system was down that morning. I was only allowed to buy two of them at that price🀣 one I sold the same day for $125. The other one I still have but it's true like others say the battery is horrific. I just keep it as a back up phone to my iPhone 11 πŸ€£πŸ€˜πŸ»πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘Œ
Screams Verizon[ST}, ya, cause it is, just like the SE was, get it unlocked.
