iPhones are unlocked automatically 60 days after activation (with IMEI and a paid plan). You don't even need to open the box. Simply check sickw.com on day 60 or 61 and the status should show unlocked. You can then setup the phone anywhere, without or with a SIM from different service provider.

Bought this from previous deal.

Used edge with ms shopping which was 15% back last time. Bought 2 and showing $30 back pending on both transactions. It's 12% now and seems the best deal available.

I had chase offers on both freedom unlimited and CSR for 25% back capped at $15. Those both qualified so $45 cb plus standard cb from credit cards combined. I see the chase offers are back on both of those cards for me now; almost tempted to try and buy 2 more.

Received both phones, they will come with SIM card and instructions taped to back of iPhone box. Follow instructions which include going to straight talk activation website and inserting the sim. The silver, or whichever plan you choose, is tied to the sim and you will see a message to that effect when completing activation on the website. Once activated, text UNLOCK to 611611 twice and you will receive a response that lists the unlock date. You only have to pay 1 month of service and the device will unlock 60 days post activation.

So, you say 245 + 45 total 290$ right or just paying 245$ is enough to unlock it after 60 days?

Be careful during activation!!! Make sure you are activating through StraightTalk and not TotalWireless which is listed first in the instructions!

I get the following error, "it looks like the imei you entered belongs to another brand".

Did you activate on wrong network? You purchased from Straight Talk. If you messed up only thing you can do is contact support.

Got my phone today and activation has been a nightmare. Straight Talk says it's a Total Wireless Phone and Total Wireless says they can't see the ST plan I've already paid for or the receipt. Been on the phone with both for hours and they keep transferring me back an forth.

Did you try using the IMEI2 on the ST website? I kept getting errors when using the serial number/ IMEI/MEID.

I finally was able to pass that screen by using the IMEI2. I am now stuck on the service PIN part. I didn't receive a prepaid card with a PIN.

You aren't supposed to - the plan is activated when you activate the physical sim included with phone. Pretty sure IMEI 2 is for esim activation which needs a separate plan.
Not sure what you've done but it sounds like you messed something up - did you attempt to activate on Total first? If so phone is likely registered in system as TW - you're going to have to deal with support to get it fixed. Good luck.

I got the phone today and Spoke with Customer care.

They confirmed that phone should be active with straight talk for 60 days to unlock the device.

If we want to unlock the device after 30 days or with out staying active for 60 days then there will be a additional charge to unlock.
lol ok

People just won't listen.
If they want to overpay it's their choice.
