That's impossible, how can I mail it and have them receive it the next day? They should have an expiration date at least a week or two away, so that I can first receive and activate the new Pixel 9, copy stuff over (if needed), delete all my personal info from the Pixel 6 ("You will remove all Device data and personal information, passwords, security software, or user locks."), then ship it to them and leave time for shipping carrier to get it to them.
So I reluctantly backed out at the final step.
What's next?
Once that cool new device is in your hands, get started on these important next steps.
Trade in your old device
Once your new Pixel 9 Pro ships, you'll have 30 days to send back your current Google GVU6C Pixel 7 5G 128GB White - T-Mobile in good condition to retain your promotional value of $800.00.

Is there any possibility I could ask to switch to these phones without being charged a ton of fees?
Anyone know if it makes sense to take it to a place like ubreakifixit to replace/repair the screen and then do a trade-in? Would T-mobile have no problem accepting it if I mailed it in as a trade-in for this?
Just wondering if others have had this debacle. It is rather insane they they offer $800 for the phone, but if it has a tiny crack they drop down the trade-in to a mere $40.
Meanwhile, the phone itself on the ACTUAL market-price is roughly ~80-120 on eBay and no where near $800.

Just buy a cheap phone off eBay. If you search galaxy s9, there's a couple of sellers that have the phone explicitly for trade in for around $115.

Or is this something that is relatively easy?

Nope, doesn't matter just select phone manually and add imei.Bit risky either ways for you.
you should get an email "T-mobile order documents" which links to https://www.t-mobile.com/account-activity
on that page, there will be a document containing the trade-in info
edit: oh, i see the info in my confirmation email as well (at the bottom)

If so then that sounds like the clear winner to me over paying $200+ for a screen repair that they may or may not accept....
