I have a Pixel 6 to trade in that I bought from T-Mobile 3 years ago, so the website already has the IMEI. I went all the way through the checkout process, everything looked good. But then I carefully read the Trade In Terms document. It said the Trade In expires on 11/23/2024 (tomorrow). If you then click on the link in that document that takes you to https://www.t-mobile.com/commerce...d-t-c.html , it says "If you fail to return your Device by the trade-in expiration date, you may be required to pay back any value or credit advanced to you." It also says "...if you sell your Device online or over the phone, we will honor the Offer Price if: (1) your Device is received by us by the Offer Price trade-in expiration date."
That's impossible, how can I mail it and have them receive it the next day? They should have an expiration date at least a week or two away, so that I can first receive and activate the new Pixel 9, copy stuff over (if needed), delete all my personal info from the Pixel 6 ("You will remove all Device data and personal information, passwords, security software, or user locks."), then ship it to them and leave time for shipping carrier to get it to them.
So I reluctantly backed out at the final step.
This deal worked on my Simple Choice plan -- via T-App, traded in S21FE, total was the $35 DCC + state tax.
You'll actually be fine with the trade in. Just placed my order and this is verbatim from my confirmation email from T-Mobile:

What's next?
Once that cool new device is in your hands, get started on these important next steps.
Trade in your old device
Once your new Pixel 9 Pro ships, you'll have 30 days to send back your current Google GVU6C Pixel 7 5G 128GB White - T-Mobile in good condition to retain your promotional value of $800.00.

I have a galaxy S10e from Cricket. Is it qualified? I tried checking out and there is no Cricket on the dropdown selection as the carrier.

Of course. A fairer comparison would be S23+ vs. XL

Won't be able to use an international ESIM in this for 2 years, unless you pay off the EIP and lose the Bill Credits.
I stick with physical sims so I can swap phones without calling T-Mobile every time. You can still use an international Esim for travel, as long as the phone is unlocked.
In my experience, you still get bill credit even you pay off EIP

Received my credits/promotion for $800 (735x24, 65 fmv one time credit) this morning after placing phone order with Costco yesterday.

Having difficulty with the rebate process though can anyone chime in?

Should be. I'd just pick AT&T. But if you want to be sure, you can give T-mobile customer service a call to confirm.

That changed with all new EIPs started on or after 7/1/24.

If I have an existing EIP that started in June (before the July 1st policy change) I should in theory be ok to pay that off in full and continue to get credits on the same line while getting this deal on top of it (but I can't pay this off early)?

So I got the phone, but it's asking for sim to get it working. Where do we get the sim card?

Call T-Mobile for a physical SIM or download an eSIM during setup if you don't want to wait.

Mine is cracked and originally a T-Mobile phone so can't do the trade in so I thought I will buy another but it doesn't let me tradein any but the T-Mobile phone I already use on that line. The other line had a Non-TMobile and I was able to use another phone I stead and it worked. So don't know what's going on.

is anyone able to get this deal by calling Costco Tmobile? Would like to get the $100 rebate if possible.

I called and they said it's a web offer only and needs to be done on the tmobile website or app.

In the Trade-In menu/window, towards the bottom, there is a link to "trade in different device". click on that and then you can enter the info for another phone. Doesn't have to be the one you are using on your line, your line just needs to have an available upgrade option.

I understand this will be locked to tmobile for 2 years, but do they allow you add an extra esim from an mvno? I do this often as I bike a lot and tmobile doesn't always have service where I bike. I usually add a Verizon or att mvno during the summer when I bike a lot.
