I'm on simple choice and I qualified. Already traded in two phones. One for a 9 pro xl and one for a regular 9. If you go to the product page and try from there it's gonna keep trying to add a line for the promo. You have to go to the number's profile and select upgrade from there.

Can you unlock before paying off EIP? I thought you can't unlock bootloader unless we pay off Pixel 9.

you just can't unlock for different carrier sims if you dont pay off eip

you are talking about bootloader unlocking. We are talking about Carrier Unlock

Any issues with getting a Pixel 9 and 9 Pro on 2 separate transactions with two separate trade ins if you only have a single line? I'm assuming both will just show up under my commitments still showing a total of 24 months.

Officially no from T-Mobile, but T-Mobile does not know the device is unlocked when you unlock it during first boot. This method works because the lock/unlock happens on the device side instead of on activation servers like iPhone.

one line can have up to 4 EIPs.

no need to wait. you can add 4 orders to single line at the same time. They are all processed individually.
