SodaStream Dishwasher Safe 1L Slim Carbonating Bottle. Bottles are compatabile with SodaStream Sodamakers. I wouldn't wash these in the dishwasher. Especially on the bottom rack. The drying cycle can get hot enough to warp the bottle.

SodaStream Dishwasher Safe 1L Slim Carbonating Bottle. Bottles are compatabile with SodaStream Sodamakers. I wouldn't wash these in the dishwasher. Especially on the bottom rack. The drying cycle can get hot enough to warp the bottle.

It can also cause the base to detach from the bottle. Definitely not dishwasher-safe.

unless you have a bosch dishwasher which doesn't have heated drying - so plastics are safe on the bottom rack

Lol, I only clicked on this thread because I got excited that Sodastream had finally made a dishwasher safe bottle. Many times I've thought my Sodastream was broken because it wasn't carbonating right or was overflowing and I would later realize that the bottle neck was ever so slightly warped from being in the dishwasher.

Indeed. Happened to two out of the six that I have. Had to stick the bottom back - at seemed just hit glued. Would not recommend dishwasher.

We have never had issues with soda stream bottles.
I don't understand the fear of plastic, combined with the need to ingest chemical products mingled with water.
Do you test the CO2 for purity?
Is the pressurized bottle tested for lead?
Is your water double filtered?

Does this work on the original Soda Stream, or is it too tall?

EDIT: Reviews say this does NOT fit the original soda stream. Be warned.
