Nope. Just signed up. Tested on Furiosa Mad Max. Saw 8 ads across the film timeline. Each was at least 30 seconds long.

Worked for me! Just keep in mind this is not a standalone subscription, it is managed and accessed through the Roku Channel.

Same here, my $105 no ads annual plan expires in March and they let me tack this on at the end of the current term:
Your offer has been applied.
Your plan: With Ads (Monthly)

Your offer: $2.99/month for 6 months

Your offer starts on your next billing date: Mar 15, 2025

You can cancel this plan change before your next billing date.
How do you get there. The $2.99 pricing starts after the annual pricing? March in your case

Except Silo and Severance are literally in the top 10 best shows (for me). Also love Foundation but understand how it is not for everyone.
I agree on Silo and Foundation but once you watch them and a couple other shows there's not much else to watch. I could never quite get into Severance. Also, Apple+ takes FAR longer to release new seasons.

yep, try to cancel and instead of looking at their first set of offers (other plans), click on continue the cancellation process and this promo will pop up. if you click on accept it now, it's done.

FYI - I was also offered this promo when I went to cancel my current/existing MAX subscription. That would have been a bit nicer since I could keep my history/watch list/logins etc.

Paramount Plus has a few good shows but once you watch them it's a steaming pile of garbage. At least HBO actually rolls out quality shows on a regular basis rather than just another season of a tired and boring series. Dune Prophecy is a perfect example. You'd never get a show like that on Paramount+.

I agree on Apple+. I always find it odd that all the shows have a certain snotty vibe. They all seem very slow as well.
I used to love HBO but around 2007 or so, they started to go down. I think I asked this question to someone around that time and they said FX and other cable channels gave TV showrunners better deals and it was harder for them to compete. They really had a monopoly for a long time on those edgy dramas with only 10-12 episodes a season.

I can see how people wouldn't like Paramount Plus but they're focus grouping the hell out of their shows or something because most are very watchable for me. They're a sleeper streaming channel. I always watch their shows thinking I'm going to hate them and end up being proven wrong.

I still want to see Bad Monkey on Apple Plus, I heard it was good. Foundation...I don't know, it was watchable and it wasn't..there was more of a focus on being woke and pretentious than telling a good story, I felt. Not bashing some of the actresses, they were great but they felt seriously miscast and it hurt the show.

My biggest gripe with the streaming channels is that you have to pay extra for 4k. Most people purchased a 4k TV years ago thinking by now that anything produced would be in 4k. Yes, most is in 4k but you have to pay extra for it. Amazon Prime limits what you can watch in 4k depending on the device you are using; in a browser it is HD anon a Fire Stick it is 4k. That makes no sense.

Yeah signed up already. This post started out about Roku Max offer that was only available inside Roku, that's where my comment originated from.

Glad it's available thru Google again this year. It's nice because otherwise I'd not subscribe.

This is dumb. I couldn't apply the 2.99 deal, so I cancelled my annual plan of $99 that I had just selected thinking I'll save 20$. But that didn't give me the 2.99 deal.

Finally it popped up as I asked to cancel subscription altogether. 🙄

On the bright side, this works to 2.99 for 6 mo, followed by 9.99 for following 6 months.... That's $78 per yr... Still cheaper than annual plan.

I know it's streaming but locking 4k and Atmos behind the 20 pay wall. I don't want 1080 stereo. These days 4k should be standard at the very least. Granted, for this price it's not terrible.
