You need to keep Cricket service for 6 consecutive months, then Cricket will unlock it
For anyone who wants it actually unlocked at some point, it will cost you $100 + $120 + $120, which includes 6 months of cricket service. Two months of unlimited and four months of the $30 5gb plan.

Not bad at all if you need a decent new phone + plan. Cricket is also rock-solid as far as quality of service is concerned.
If you are on Cricket already, you can get it cheaper, because they only require 1 month when adding a new line.
I don't know about the activation, but you can just insert your current sim card and it will work.
You can still unlock the phone, just insert your current sim and keep service for 6 months, after that, you can contact Cricket and they will give you the unlock code, I have done it a few times.

Doesn't matter which plan you get, as long as you keep service active for 6 consecutive months, you are good to go.

the 6 month locked required service doesn't make it a good deal if you don't plan on keeping cricket. How locked are Cricket phones for use with other mvno?

If you're on cricket already, you can purchase and choose new number and get the same price. When the phone arrives you can skip activation and just pop in your current sim right?

Can the phone be unlocked in the future using this method???

I'm part of 4lines/$100 plan, I can add a 5th line and get this for $160 and then cancel the line after I get the device? Am I missing any other charges?

You have to pay for the phone, plan and taxes, that's all, just make sure you cancel line before due date.

Thanks!

I just placed the order. The new line actually came out to $40 instead of $60 with 5th line discount. So total was $149.24 with taxes fees.

Now do I have to activate the phone when it gets here in order to cancel line?

I already have my Samsung Galaxy A54 which I have been happy with but my annual plan expires soon. I would be willing to pay for an annual unlimited plan so a flagship phone like S24 FE deal included is interesting. $220+$300 annual plan would be $520 for phone with 14 months service for me. Mint Mobile has the Pixel 9 for $579 with annual plan deal too.

after the 2 months $60 plan ends, is it possible to continue service under the multi 3-month unlimited plan for $25mo/$75 total, or can you switch to this plan during the 2nd month of service? The 3-month plan choice says it requires a new line, meaning do i have to go in store again and drop an activation fee $25+$5? Also, after i get the phone, do i need to drop that additional $25+$5 in store to make this deal $250 or is it included in the $220 i paid online? Thanks to OP for the post. repped.

I just bought the Moto Razr they discounted last night. As an existing customer, I got it for $130, but after buying the $60 plan, it only cost me $30. My question is: what happens to the number I already have? My bill is due tomorrow, and I don't need two active lines.
Can I just put my current active SIM into the Razr without activating the new line, or does the device auto-activate? I don't want to end up paying $90 for both lines. Also, since my old number is connected to everything, transferring all my services to the new number would take time.
