Be careful with your trade in. I jumped on this deal last time. It took several days to get it to Samsung and then several more days for their tech to look at it. They told me that my old watch was not resetted even though I did do the reset. They asked for proof, but I did not take a video of me resetting the watch. They said their tech could not do the reset. So they denied my trade-in, and returning my old watch. However they said the return Windows has passed so I cannot return the Watch 7. So I have to keep the Watch 7 and they charged me $200 for it. But then they said they will reset my old watch before returning it. But I am scratching my head because they said they can't reset my old watch in the 1st place. And now they are resetting it because the trade in was denied. Huh? I don't get it. I have been a loyal fan with Samsung for many years. I have had many of their premium products. This is stupid and I am done with them.

Sorry for the rant. If you're doing this trade-in. Be sure to take a video of you resetting your device in case they want proof. So you don't end up like my case.

Rule #1. Always pay with a virtual card
Rule #2. Record EVERYTHING. Condition of the watch, resetting, how much it was charged, packaging it.

If you follow these 2, Samsung will almost never do anything.

Also, lately Samsung is taking far too long to get the trade-ins evaluated. From the last deal, mine got delivered to them on Oct 28, and they told me to reach back on Nov 15 if the trade in was still not evaluated. I did reach out and they manually closed the trade in. So don't wait for more than 2 weeks for them to evaluate your device

I don't necessarily believe in lying, but if you tell them you have a video they usually just cave and give you the discount from what I've heard at least

Seems like the watch4 trade-in value is more than it was previously. Does the watch3 ever get bumped up to match the others?
Yeah 48 hours ago the high trade values for all the watches were $150 with the watch 3 being the cheapest on the list so I bought one from eBay to trade.... I should have waiting and bought the watch 4 from ebay . Its $20 more than I paid though so net savings another $30

I'll jump on the trade in story train. I traded in my GW4 just over a month ago for the Ultra deal (Awesome watch BTW). I filmed everything. I dropped it off at the shipping center with something else and got a receipt with both tracking numbers on it. The Samsung one wouldn't show in UPSs system. I contacted Samsung and they said rest assured it would get to them. A few days later Samsung sent an email saying they got it. Whew. But the status on the website was "PendingReceipt." I contacted them a couple of times about this and they said rest assured it will be evaluated. They were showing the phone in the "triage" status. It should have taken two weeks after they got it, but after having it for about three weeks, I got an email saying it was accepted. It worked, just not smoothly at all.

I've been doing these Samsung trade in deals since the Note 10+ and every release after with their phones, watches, tablets, and computers. All without issues.

I guess I was due for one, but my trade in for a Watch Ultra and the Galaxy book 4 edge got denied. Hyla Mobile or whatever 3rd party they're using are delaying or backed up with trade-ins going past the return period. However, I had video proof of the condition, packaging process, and drop off at fedex. My trade ins were manually completed by a support rep only after sending the videos. Best of luck though.

I got the Ultra yesterday for 170.99+tax after starting a chat. They offered it for 179.99 and used a 5% off referral code. I was instructed to log off my EPP account and use my personal one. This included a $250 trade in for any smartwatch, any condition. Plan on sending in a smartwatch I picked up for $10 last BF. Chat rep said it's acceptable.

I asked if my no name smartwatch is acceptable if it didn't have LTE. I was playing dumb having already read the terms. Then I asked why my EPP discount was only $12. He then just offered me the $179.99 deal

Occasionally the Watch 6 40mm and Watch 6 Classic 43mm come in stock and you can get them for $68 or $115 with any smartwatch trade-in (-$100) and the EDU discount. I have scored 2 in the last month. I check every morning.

Citi and Chase can generate them but I use Privacy.com and link it to my debit card for one-time payments.
