Bambul Lab A1 if you want to set it and forget it.

I have their smaller print, Advernture 3, and it worked perfectly out of the box. This is a good printer.

I'm trying to decide between this and the Bambi lab but I am concerned about the toxic plastic in the air with the open Bambu, any thoughts? This one has a HEPA filter. Thank you!

Hepa would probably only handle the smell, but you'd need something like activated carbon, maybe more, for the VOC's. Some air cleaners advertise cleaning VOC's.

You can create a cheap enclosure, vent the air out a window, etc., or find some youtube solution that fits your living area.

Thank you for the advice! I will look into that.

FF advertises the filters as working on both VOCs and fine particles. If you are mostly printing PLA then the particulates are the bigger concern. I have the non-pro version of this and it's an excellent printer.

As compared to the BL A1 the both have advantages. For the same $450 the A1 offers the multi color unit, a somewhat bigger build area (not game changing but 220x220 vs 256x256) and better work flow, especially if you want to use a phone app and print from their website.

The 5M pro is faster (perhaps 10-20% so not a game changer), doesn't require creating accounts just to get software updates, and is the clear winner of you want to print materials that want/need an enclosed for temperature control. Well that and the filtration system makes it better for printing in a living space.

If budget is not an issue, get a P1S for $550 and duct the airflow out of the window (or print a bento box if you are crafty). At least this option gives you the ability to get the ams if you enjoy 3D printing down the road. I don't don't FF has an ams in the road maps even though the apps shows the icon.

FF has just announced the 5X which is in most ways a 5M with a compact multi-material system on the side. I expect it will be a good system (they have had time to benchmark others) for $400. However, it's an open printer.

Not even the X1C enclosure will do jack 💩
To mitigate PPM and VOC levels

You need a dedicated space or an air tight tent with a flange for an exhaust hose.
See Nathanbuildsrobots video about 3D printing fumes and safety

That might not be the deal you want to jump on. The seller has a feedback of "3".
This is probably a better seller, flashforge3dpro, same $400 price

There has been an on again, off again 20% off coupon on the various FF printers on ebay. It appears to be off right now.
