I've had this headset for close to 5 years. Absolutely love it.
Some thoughts,
The display will eventually get heavy burn in. My mic is now very low but I can likely clean it to improve it. Batteries both still hold plenty of charge. Very comfortable and won't buy another headset without the bungee again. The earcups are plush no pain while wearing glasses.
How are these for conference calls? I use Google workspace and there is no native voice isolation unless I use my iphone and AirPods. When I use my laptop everyone can hear my kids crying etc. TIA
These are the call center gold standard. Noise is canceled at the mic https://a.co/d/9GqhqMb
This was my favorite headset in the world, until it broke. As you can see. It's nearly 300 bucks. One thing users should be warned about:
--The hinges are internally plastic. Be VERY careful with it. Or if you know what you are doing, there are guides to reinforce / fix or even use 3D printed parts to take care of the issue.--
The range on that thing couldn't be beat. I would be able to take my meetings and walk downstairs, from my office, to my kitchen, or even outside to my mail box and NOT lose signal. The 2.4ghz connection just can't be beat. The hot-swappable batteries are also amazing. In a world of internal batteries that you can't replace, it's nice to be able to swap them out, or even buy new ones, whenever they die.
I swore I'd never buy their stuff again... but at $140, I had to come back. My current corsair just can't compete in comfort, range, or capabilities.
Personally, I'd choose to save up and get the Audeze Maxwell Xbox variant while it's $219 at Adorama. Since early 2023, I've bought 5 pairs for myself and others, and cannot praise them enough.
The Maxwell has significantly more battery life, audiophile sound, better portability since it uses a dongle instead of larger receiver, supports audio EQ via Win/Mac or Android/iOS app, can be used over Bluetooth, and has a very effective noise suppression microphone due to onboard neural processing.

I've been eyeing a SteelSeries headset for sometime and this deal was too good to pass up. I'm enjoying all the features except the fact that when GG software is installed and running, it prevents my OLED monitor from going into standby. I have to quit the software for sleep/standby on Windows 11. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, have you found a solution?

I have 3 pairs of these, yes I love them that much. I have no issues with stand by while using the software. Perhaps take a look in the software if the stand by settings are on there too. Maybe the software has the setting different than the manually one you have on the dock.
Is there anything missing in the open box ? And when you mean open box do you mean used and returned? Clarify if you can because I'm eyeing these ATM and can't figure out if there open box + new

They were $100 off, and new, but the sale might be over now.

The rep said open box but couldn't really get a answer to what condition other than saying basically new and I hope that's the case or that sht is going back also used PayPal 3% back + 1.5 back on my card so overall I can't complain . This is turning into a expensive year
