thanks; interesting to know how they did that 2 years ago and why it isn't more common or well-known; may try it next time. i hate choosing financing (because it free and 3%) but getting stuck with a $huge gc balance because it's never a good time to use it.

Does best buy have the same issue Target does with physical cards where people have found that the physical cards they received had the balances stolen? I've generally gone the route of buying electronic cards at target but was sharing this deal with some friends who'd benefit from physical cards, especially if you can get say 4 $25 (or 5 $20) cards and get the deal.

Everywhere that doesn't have the gift cards locked in or behind the counter is prone for this scam issue. I do know that target brand gift cards are an easy target. I'm not sure if apple gift cards are as common because they're a bit harder to seal back up.

How many can you buy at once online?

I bought 3 of these last time from target online and got 3 $15 target gift cards. Never done a best buy one.

I bought 3 x $100 Apple GC and got 3 $15 BB physical gift card at store. It seems there is no limit how many you can buy there.

I don't mean paying with them, I know you can do that at checkout, but just "storing" them in the Wallet section of the app or somehow adding them to my account. I swear I must have like $50 in Best Buy gift cards lost between my emails.

I go to the check gift card site in Best Buy, put in the gift card id and pin, and bookmark them in a folder, I once had up to 20 of them saved this way.
