Same seller sell the same item for 10.99 on the same eBay platform.

Your listing is 13.99 but the other ones are 10.99

These ultrasonic devices are terrible because they start emitting white dust after a while. You need to use distilled water, which is a money pit

I ordered the open box one for cheaper and it arrived brand new. Obviously YMMV

Yes $1.20/galon distilled every day. I haven't used evaporative in a long time. Don't know if those are better. Need some kind of filter.

You can buy a distiller on Amazon for $60…we use it in humidifiers, steam cleaners, and certain drinks for a pure taste with mixes. It comes to around $0.35-$0.40 per gallon with our electric rates around $0.15kWh

I'm not worried about electricity. Distillers need filters. Those can be expensive. Also need to be cleaned often? I've looked into it and decided not to buy one for now. All had many bad reviews. Current cheapest distilled in my area $1.20/gallon. I expect price increase in near future.
