These are great. Some people say the lids crack over time. Would suggest not microwaving the lids. Also suggest not using heated drying when putting the lids in the dishwasher. Or better yet just hand washing the lids. Via this method I am still rocking a decade old set with the original dark blue lids. Of course I had to pick up one of these newer sets too last time they went on sale at Kohl's.

Many have said newer generation lids don't hold up as well, even w hand-washing.

Yep, see if u can find a deal on the snapware lids. They are designed better for stacking.

This deal is better as it includes a larger 6 and 7 cup container vs only 3 cup containers with the Target deal

Avoid anything with Snapware lids as they are cheap and designed to fail.

Each of the 4 fold over flaps per lid are reliant on extremely (paper) thin plastic to keep them attached to the lid.

The plastic polymer wears out relatively quickly due to the stretch/bend cycle and eventually snaps right off... Add cold and hot cycles from refrigeration and washing and they may not even last 50 cycles...

Shapeware lids are a waste of money and bad for the environment.

I bought this same set a couple years ago around BF from Kohl's after I saw it posted here. They are made in USA and the quality is fine, but the majority of the containers in this set are too small to be useful and I haven't touched all but two of the larger containers. They are smaller than they appear in the pictures. Several of the container bowls are barely bigger than what you would use as a small dipping bowl - useless. Buy something better, it's a waste of money.

Agreed. We never microwave our lids or put them in the dishwasher, but they are almost all cracked along the edges. The glass containers are fantastic. The lids are absolute garbage.

I'll reiterate that there is nothing you can do to prevent the lids from cracking except not use them at all. Replacement lids cost more than the set.

Rubbermaid Brilliance glass containers have lids that seal better and last much longer.

Buy these with the understanding you'll be using Saran wrap as lids at some point.

Never microwave the lids and always hand wash them. I purchased 2 sets probably 5 years ago and have one set left. Not exactly disposable. Like others have said the real disappointment is that you can't buy new lids for a decent price. Buy two sets so you have an extra set of lids. I still like them so much better than Tupperware.

Agreed. I don't have a dishwasher and I've had 3 full sets of Snapware for 6 years that I use all the time without any lids breaking. My partner has some at her place with a dishwasher and the lids have started failing.

That being said, I wouldn't go with the ones on sale here and would get the Snapware. way better.

Lids are crappy quality. Had to buy replacements from Amazon - Pyrex brand lids are expensive. It is like Printer/Ink business model

You're proving my point having gone through a set of lids in 5 years. There are zero things you can do to prevent cracking except not use the lids, or perhaps put them on once and never open it again (though I haven't tried that, it will still probably eventually crack).

Besides that, round containers are not an efficient use of space, which is another reason I prefer the rectangular Rubbermaid storage containers. There's no reason to make round containers which creates void spaces around everything.
