To provide a counterpoint, I've had a sapphire nitro+ since August 2023, and mine has been flawless. No issues with adrenaline at all. Two random posts on the internet for anecdotal evidence, take them for what you will, lol.

This is the top-end AMD card. If you want the best AMD GPU this is it, and this price is the lowest it's been. GRE is a great card but technically it's two models down from this, falling just under the regular 7900 XT.

If you don't need the Nvidia specific gpu advantages and just want to play games at big frame rates at high graphic settings, this is the best bang for your buck. PowerColor makes quality GPUs.

How does this compare to the 7900 GRE deal from a few days ago?

Had a 7900xtx for over a year now. It's fast as all hell but it crashes so much with the amd driver software in games. If you decide to get it do not install adrenaline, just drivers only.

Oh yeah.....

I keep saying if it hits this price again......
I do video conversions with Topaz software and my 7800 xt works (16GB RAM), but these software demand as much VRAM as possible to work efficiently.

Biting the bullet!

I have the red devil version of this. No issues other than having to repaste it due to high temps. Super easy to take heatsink off. No issues since then.

I switched from a 1080 to a 6950 xt and started crashing in COD. Finally figured out it was the game not liking XMP on my ram. Computers are so complex that even if crashes happen when changing to team red, it could be something completely different.

I had more driver issues with my previous Nvidia GPU than my current 7900 XTX. What does that tell you about Nvidia vs AMD driver quality? Absolutely nothing. It doesn't tell you anything because this is was my experience, and a sample of one anecdote means nothing.

Same. I had mine (PoweCooler) since December 2022 and it has also been flawless. No crashing at all. It's paired with an i5-12600k and 32 GB ram. It runs everything perfectly in 4k with ultra settings.

Just another anecdote to throw out there. My friend had an AMD laptop and he was constantly having driver issues, especially with mods (Lethal Company is one game that comes to mind). Doesn't have any issues with NVIDIA.
However, two others friends have AMD and they have zero issues. So, it depends? I've had driver issues quite a bit with my 3070 Ti and constantly have to use DDU to fix it.

The third-party seller (putianlichengrunyidianzishangwuyouxiangongsi) reviews are bad but they claim to have the XFX version for $579, thoughts?
