We have a bunch of APC ones. Eventually the batteries all go to shit. APC branded replacements are insanely expensive, if they even sell it.

We have found that this company (below link) usually has something that is compatible. And the battery lifespan tends to last much much longer than the original one and are very high quality. We use them for CyberPower ones as well
Whatever you do, don't buy Mighty Max batteries from Amazon, they truly don't last

Replacement and Recycling of Batteries:
This product is specified as "non-user replaceable battery) but this is not true. It's just that it's not super cost-effective combined with only "1-year" warranty on battery replacements vs. 3-year warranty on new units. So Schneider Electric (the manufacturer) recommends trashing the whole unit.

HOWEVER, you can easily find battery replacements online and some are quite good.
Cost is $20-30 for a battery. I consider that cost effective.

Replacement/installation requires a long, Philips-head screwdriver. That's all.

Make sure you have a long, about 10 inches phillips screwdriver. The screws are all the way down a really small hole at bottom of unit. The screwdriver has to be really thin also to get to the screw. I had to go and buy one.

Pre COVID there were deals where new units were $30-ish and I would buy them instead of new batteries because the ones APC uses seem to last closer to 3 years, but if you buy batteries from them (Schneider) I think they cost at least 3x as much. I haven't seen any good deals on new units for a few years, except the non-replaceable ones or ones that take less common batteries (like extra thin), so I've been forced to buy replacement batteries. My long post was about how every brand I've tried in the last few years has still had a short life. I'm waiting to see how long the Mighty Max ones live. I keep hoping someone will have discovered a super reliable brand I've missed that is relatively cheap and post a link. Yes and that's why I woudln't recommend anyone buy it.
It makes sense. Now that I researched a bit, to seems it is beneficial just to buy power "stations" , Jackery portable power station or EcoFlow

I saw that Mighty Max SLA batteries have already been dissed here, but if you're up for a gamble Lowe's sells one that matches up to that one for only $18, with free shipping to store for pickup.

nice. I'm after many years working with batteries, I find that interstate brand last much longer and the company is very good in repairs/replacements. plus they're local to me in southern California. they're also the OEM batteries for a majority of cars. thanks for the link.

I don't know if I dissed Mighty Max per se. Maybe others did. My first Mighty Max is dying (causing the UPS' annoying alarm to sound). It lasted almost 18 months in the UPS and the power only went out a few times for a few seconds to minutes. 18 months is better than what I've been getting on other batteries lately but still far worse than batteries such as APC's ones which last about 3 years.

I checked the Lowe's URL. My mind was blown to see Lowe's is selling Mighty Max batteries and there were thousands of listings. If I search on Lowes.com on these batteries, they don't show up in the search results. Only by using the provided URL and changing the filters could I see them.

It looks to me like someone made different descriptions, model numbers, and item #s for each different type of UPS. AFAIK many are the same battery, mostly RBC110 for the lower end APCs. Why would someone make so many listings unless they expect someone to search the model number on Lowe's?

$20 a pop isn't a terrible price, but I've gotten better deals in the past. On eBay or Amazon MP a while ago I saw a 5 or 6 pack for close to the same price per battery. I'd guess the biggest part of buying any SLA battery is the shipping cost factored in.

Does Home Depot or Walmart have a secret SLA battery section too?
