If you buy it from the Atari.com website instead, the checkout Code Atari15 takes 15 percent off. It is currently $99 on their website and it was $79 for the all in bundle earlier this morning.
It's not basically a raspberry pi, it's a PC with an embedded nand to boot into Linux.

Maybe you're trying to say it's like the emulation station stuff that's out there - it's still not that either because it's a PC and not like what a pi is at all.

I have one of these and it was not super simple to boot windows and get steam going. I needed to find a secret bios password to unlock and change certain settings around. It is cool and capable machine, but I don't think the process to get it to run windows was for the feint of heart. Make sure to research before you decide to buy it, it could be easier now.
Great deal. Clearance item. Atari is no longer supporting except bare minimum service. This would be like a small HTPC, potential for Windows 11 with tinkering. A few years ago I would have jumped on this. I'm not sure if I would get it now. The controller is nice. I see this like a raspberry pie with bonuses.

Today I would rather spend $300-$500 on a portable instead and double as a console. This is passable console but nothing noteworthy. Atari should leave hardware altogether. Focus on software. Great for indies game.

Where does it show that it's clearance / no longer supported?

I couldn't find the original article I read but I found an article (2022) that contains the gist.

Not Discontinued "Atari's New Gaming Console Isn't Dead Yet" : r/AtariVCS
https://www.reddit.com/r/AtariVCS...sole_isnt/

Essentially, they support it for ethical reasons, but it's essentially on life support. They will continue to provide updates as needed, but developers who promised to create games for it have not heard back from the company regarding approval. This lack of responsiveness indicates that while the device will receive adequate support, there seems to be a resignation from any further efforts to actively develop it. Production of the device ceased in 2022, something related to contract with manufacturers.

Walmart deal is done but the Atari company website is still $100, with coupon code from the user above worked from this morning. I got it for $85 + tax which ended up $91.XX. I might gift it. Think the handhelds pretty much killed the demand for it as well as its confusing marketing. Personally I love the design and all. But software wise it did not have a distinction of purpose.

Well, it's a cool LOOKING device, but with limited support in the future, kinda feels like it should be going for <$50 as they clearance them out.

Agreed. Feel like I'd jump on it if it was $40-$50 just cause it looks cool

Walmart has made this a Walmart+ Deal now at $80.

The Coolest thing about the VCS is that this isn't really a video game console...it's just a Mini PC with a Dual Core first-gen Ryzen CPU, 8GB of Ram, 32GB of storage, and an open M.2 internally. You, remarkably, actually can add an EGPU. $80 is a killer deal for an HTPC.

I really want this, yet have no reason to buy it. Reviews of even just the 2600 games seems a little meh, as far as the controller hooking up via Bluetooth.

At $80 I just can't resist this. Hoping to be able to maybe run something like Batocera on this.

At $80, it seems like a good deal since you could install another OS (Windows/Linux) and Steam.

Sucks I won't get this until the 6th. Been watching YouTube videos on modding it so definitely a deal at 80 if you want to do that.

got one for $80 and used the cash site for more discount. Planning on adding 32GB Ram and bigger SSD.. paste the CPU and install Windows 10/11 + run batocera externally.,
