I bought this back in 2016 when it was released. Really crappy remastering, seriously I think an original cassette may sound better. I had high hopes because of the 45rpm but it is garbage. I assume others can chime in on overall quality. Playing on a "real" stereo by the way, not a $39 Crosley TT from Walmart.

People seem to be pretty happy with this reissue on Discogs where I would expect the more critical listeners to be. It was also mastered by Chris Bellman who has a good reputation for not ruining remasters. You could have gotten a bad pressing, there is someone who mentioned ticking on Side B with theirs.

Yeah, I'm sure I looked at the reviews when buying, there's lots of crummy 180g remasters out there, many of the Target/Walmart offerings.

I thought I had this one at first and checked but I have a little earlier one that people say is trash on discogs. I bought this one, reviews seem good for it overall.

Funny, I just checked and see that mine is a 2012 release. Very confusing. Not sure where I bought it but it wasn't Amazon.

Shame all the "remastered" releases just crank up the compression, squashing any dynamics in the performance or original sound recording

So confused. Why would the first side to this be live versions? That would be on a bonus disc. This should be the remaster of all the studio recorded tracks (I own it). Also, someone said 45 RPM. Where does this indicate it's 45 RPM?

I have since gone down a rabbit hole regarding Chris Bellman's remasters, people are polarized one way or another on his work. lol I had only heard of him in passing.

This all confused me too. I guess I'll figure it out when it comes. If it's no good then back it goes.

I mentioned 45rpm because I have an extremely similar 2 disc version that was released in 2012, apparently this is a 2016 release. If it is just the original album and no bonus material, then 45rpm makes sense, why else would it take 2 disks? The set list with the live songs doesn't make sense, it is supposed to be ride the lightning remastered. I find it odd that a search of the ASIN only shows Amazon and slick deals results. Attaching a pic of my 2012 Warner Brothers version.
