T-mobile has a hidden plan for 30GB data a month data plan (you get your own sim and need your own device).

I got a cellular modem for $40: https://www.netgear.com/home/mobile-wifi/lte-modems/lm1200/ [netgear.com] and was able to use it with T-mobile's provided sim card.

Call in or use their online chat to inquire about the "Basic Mobile Internet 30GB plan (SOC: MI30TE or MI30TI)". It is $15/mo but you get a $5/mo discount by using autopay.

If you can't repro then you suck. This also provides you with a phone number for the data account and you get access to t-mobile tuesdays despite it only being a data plan Smilie

Can the hotspot be taken wherever someone wants? TMHI I believe is locked down to a tower/locality.

I was just able to add this to my account (currently Home Internet only) without an additional credit check. Confirmed $15/mo, $10/mo after autopay discount. $10 activation fee. I did have to verify the IMEI number, instructions below for Eufy users. Have your IMEI ready because the TMo rep started looking up articles in their support portal for security cameras and found docs for Arlo cameras, which have a more expensive plan. Fortunately, they activated me on this plan once the IMEI passed the check.
Eufy users: You must first switch the camera to 4G mode. After you do that, the IMEI is found under "About Device" along with the signal strength (I'm using the free trial of the EIOTCLUB SIM).

Oh dang I gotta find a t-mobile at my costco! Didn't know they can activate hidden plans too

You don't have to go to Costco and look for a booth. At my local Costco they had a booth - all it had was a sign to call the 800 number, they didn't even have a real person there, just the sign.

It will. Just tell the rep you plan to use it like a tablet. I activated a s24 ultra on this Saturday. I plan to use it in conjunction with a tracfone sim I have paid through 2036 for voice service.

I called costco as a member to have activation fees waived. The rep had me fill out a $150 costco gift card tmobile rebate form also, but i doubt this would qualify.
how did you pay so far in advance for voice service?

i have need of a voice only service for my pixel 9 (don't need data at all). is it cheaper than hello mobile's $5/month unlimited talk plan?

Great deal, but not worth the hard credit hit. The agent over the phone couldn't approve without a hard credit pull🫠

Even if you ate tmobo customers already?

So far it can. Not sure when TMO will start cracking down on it though,

I had this plan and it was utter garbage. it has the lowest priority vs other plans. The infimobile deal is better at $99 a year and priority data.
This is the first that I've heard of infimobile. They don't deprioritize like other MVNO's?

what happens after 30gb?
Unlimited data but after 30GB the speed slows down. You don't get charged for overage but your speeds do get throttled. You get a phone number that is limited to texting only ( no phone calls can be made with the phone number but there are work around )

Any insights on the work around for voice?

Happen to know if its speed limited or just de-prioritized?

I've been paying ($20+tax) for my Unlimited Car Connect (Mobley plan IFYKYK) from att. I think after a certain amount of data it gets deprioritized, but if you are connected to a tower that isn't congested its pretty dang fast into the 100's of GB.

business tablet and it's $15 a month , no longer $10 month so this is a better deal!
unlimited data is worse than 30GB?

They email me with the promos and it was $10/mo along with $30/mo for home internet.
But you probably have to talk to your business account manager.

Been using this plan for almost a year.... It works inside the Nokia Can and the speed is really good. Better than the $10 Business Tablet plan..
