This adapter is actually on sale on AliExpress [aliexpress.us] currently for $13. I bought mine when it went on sale for $14.

Not as much as my PS3 or PS4 but the playstation 2 is still considered to be the greatest or one of the greatest videogame systems of all-time for good reason. The quality and quantity of the playstation 2 collection is like 10x better than what the playstation 5 has put out in all of its rehash glory. Lot of games that were best in series were on playstation 2. Look at all the high metacritic scores for the playstation 2 games. There is a reason why tons of people wish nba street vol. 2 game would come to the ps4 or ps5. Playstation 2 is definitely still playable and enjoyable today especially with its 480p capable games and component cables.

I don't have playstation 1 games. I can't enjoy PS1 games because the graphics aren't that good but the playstation 2 is a different story as it was a huge upgrade with the graphics. The quality and quantity of great games was huge for the playstation 2. Great games are great games and the graphics play just a part of it. Does the playstation 5 have any games like highly rated nba street vol 2 with arcade basketball, great moves and solid soundtrack? Nope. Playstation 5 gets cut and paste yearly basketball simulation game and then may overcharge you with expensive DLC for legend players. NBA Street Vol 2 gave it to us for free. "But look at that beautiful sweat bead on the player's head. So realistic.". Solid graphics don't mean great funfactor.

I have a PSX in the garage, chipped to allow burnt games. I had much fun with that system. I had my hands on what was probably the first consumer PS2 in America, well before the export ban, and I played it quite a bit, but my favorites were on the PS1. I think I had more fun on the Dreamcast, though.

I still play my chipped ps2. It's still going strong. This is going to be an awesome addition as my ps2 controllers aren't that great anymore.
