I want to do a cost analysis on this. So I have to join a rewards club like other fast food places and pay a $3 month subscription to drink as much as I want? Seems like they have already covered the cost of the profits they will make. Who is to state that someone is not going to take advantage of the deal every day. If you do not, then you are essentially not getting the maximum out of this promotion.
What you probably don't realize is that for the past 4 years anyone was able get a a FREE 3 month subscription for just a little effort. It's only recently that they have started to change these to $3/mo promotions. So the $3 figure is actually an increase.

Didn't work either. Found the fine print that says need to be 30 days lapsed. Bummer.
Sorry! I found that after I already responded.

How much was this "free 3 month subscription" or would you be able to take advantage of it, then end the free trial and then start it up again when it came back? Let me know.
Yeah, I am not going to pay $3 a month to keep going back to this place and getting refills. Not happening. I would rather go to Wendy's get their $1 drink, dine in, fill up as much as I want, and then be back home.

Huh? what hogwash.

Have you priced a large coffee or soft drink in Panera? pretty close to $3 to begin with, so even if you go 1x a week (4x a month) you're coming out way ahead. Naturally the more you use it the better the deal, but your negativity about this deal is laughable "I have to join a rewards club', oh dear God, what a sacrifice! Who cares about their profits, what counts is how much money you save, and believe me, there's no profit in someone getting 2x use out of this for 20 days in the month. Would you rather pay $12 for going 1x a week or $3 for the month for your drinks? No brainer.

It's winter practically, there are many days when it 20 degrees out that I'd rather have a hot coffee.

As for 'filling up as much as I want' refills are free at Panera. and you can start all over again each 2 hours and drink to your hearts content.

The Wendy's is a good deal too, but $1 each time will soon add up to more than $3. The sip club also works at Panera drive through, so you don't even have to get out of your car.

Have to laugh at the reasons people find to think $3 for a month of unlimited drinks is somehow a bad deal. LOL.

I feel you on the hot drinks part. If they had hot chocolate, I would refill that. In a work day (I do not have any Panera where I work); that would mean I would go in the morning and then refill in the evening and do that 5 times a week. I could go on weekends too. But remember...any day you do not do this, you are not maximizing the $3. Also, $3 then becomes an extra line item. I do not know about you, but I am now on a budget plan that I made for myself and there is nothing automatic that will be charged to me unless utility bills. It is just not a good road to go down.

I honestly just renewed yesterday at $5 a month for 3 months. How can I get this deal Without paying extra? Thanks
OMG...that is horrible. You have to pay $2 more now and drinks are not even worth $3 a month. I am so sorry.

I think you have to look at it from the other direction. Do you get coffee out or soft drinks out on a regular basis every week or month.

Maximizing an all you can drink sip club is very subjective, if you are spending at LEAST $3 on coffee/tea/soft drinks every month (and as noted, one large coffee- hot or iced, at any coffee chain or even convenience stores will cost in the $2-4 range for ONE DRINK.

If on a strict budget and you know you're spending $5-10 a month already on the above and you lower your cost to $3, you're doing your budget a favor. Not to mention you know have the option to get a lot more drinks if you so choose way above and beyond your normal amounts of drinks in a given 30 day period.

All right. Makes sense. Still, that line item....Is it hard to cancel once they rope you in?

Cancel online or via app is very easy. However, the quality of the coffee at the few Panera stores I visited this year had been worse than I expected. (I've been a Panera customer since 2004) Latte was still good though but it is not included in the Sip Club and no discount on any hand-crafted drinks. As I don't visit Panera often I would prefer to spend the $3 toward a Latte once in a while. I make my own coffee almost every day. (like 300 days a year at least)

If you bought $100k in SBUX, you would be able to get a $5 coffee for free 365 days a year on dividends.

no, not at all, you can cancel at the start of your 3rd month, you still get the benefit of that $3 month and won't get charged again when the month is up at regular price.

I've been doing the sip club 'on and off' member routine for a few years now.

lol that's 1.825% APY. Way worse than a typical 4% APY CD. Not a slick deal at all.

Can you immediately use cash from a CD every quarter to buy coffee?
