It is not a good deal like from Straight Talk. I got 4 for free after I activated them with straight talk on the $35 plan.
Can you elaborate?

Was a deal last August for free phone plus cost of plan, each additional phone had reduced plan. Most were limited to 2 phones. Ck ST website for current deals.

This is cheaper version with 4GM RAM.
RAM Memory
4 GB
There's no 4GB version of the Moto G Power 5G 2024. Also this comes from StraightTalk and ST sells the 8GB model. Finally Walmart specs even says 8GB. You can return it if it's 4GB.

You lose the ST plan if you do that and policy now says in order to unlock needs to be activated with a "purchased" plan not just activated on current plan so not sure how that works. They keep changing things, hard to keep up.
Every ST phone I've activated in the past 6 months (4) has required purchase of minimum 1 month plan so I've activated on ST & waited for unlock then reactivated on TF when I wanted to use it (or sold the phone).
There is no plan purchase requirement. It is when buying direct from the carrier.
But no plan required at the time of purchase for Walmart deal.

Has it been confirmed (recently) if it will still unlock without activating a new monthly plan? No one seems to know if activating with current plan will unlock, new policy says "purchased" plan?

be careful. a lot of walmarts are not scanning the IMEI, meaning, you will never be able to activate the device.
so make sure you do it quickly
You can but you'll have to send information to straight talk to prove you purchased the phone. This happened to me and it was a pain to correct. Walmart employees don't know what they are doing or don't care to figure out how to sell these phones properly.

Best phone at what price range?

Between Samsung A15, Moto G Power / Stylus / Edge - you have a few choices for ~$50-75 depending on the MVNO.

I ended up getting two Moto Edge 2024 from Total and one A14 5G QVC Tracfone to park for a year. Edge was around $65 each. A14 was $37 after new customer discount.
Did you have to port in a phone number, to get that Moto Edge 2024 deal, from Total wireless? And do you know if this deal is still available?

Also, did you specifically buy the phone, so that you could get it unlocked and use it with a different carrier?

If you wouldn't mind replying and share some more feedback about these deals that you reference, that would be appreciated.

I never said to send into to them, as it will not help. Just return it.

"The 50MP sensor combines 4 pixels into 1, for an effective photo resolution of 12.5MP"

Isn't that a bad thing? I'm sure I'm wrong, but I just want to know why because I'm scouring for the best camera on these Black Friday tracfone deals that just keep popping up.

Not saying you did. I have have sent them proof of purchase and activated without any issue after that. Walmart scans them incorrectly and it looks as if the phone was never purchased. Once the carrier sees a receipt it's fixed.

This is a common problem with phones shipped from Walmart (and Target). It's not scanned as sold so that when you activate it the phone is flagged as lost/stolen. Safer to buy in-store if you can bear the experience.

Correct. I bought 2 times and each time 2 phones, so total 4 phones. One in June and the other in September.
