Some of us actually need to enter data into Excel and the like. I would say the opposite. Not having a keypad is a crime.

What is the FHD that makes it bad? Sorry, I have no computer knowledge. I was looking at getting this for my daughter, who starts nursing school in the fall.....she will only use Microft office, Instagram, Spotify, and to watch Netflix. I thought the 15.6 size would be better than a 14 for use in her dorm since this was so lightweight.

nothing bad. being so lightweight even 17" feels nothing (my pref) but for a student toting it around, I think 15.6 is good.

Some people (including myself) feel that FHD resolution is relatively low for the size of the screen.

The Lg Gram series are all rated at the very top (right behind some Macs) at consumer reports for performance and reliability. According to CR that is. 🤔

Consider the 16:10 display if she often uses Office.

Why do they RUIN these by putting a tenkey on it? The other keys are downsized to accommodate duplicate numbers and you can't easily touch type anymore. It's absolutely moronic and indicative of these companies that are blindly trying to sell computers that appeal to buyers instead of owners.

FYI - same laptop is $809 from LG if you're a first responder, teacher, student, military, etc. Verification is through id.me
Link probably won't parse without a login, but - https://members.us.lg.com/store/p...ram-laptop

Why do they always only put 16g ram? That's enough for like base windows and 5 chrome tabs

the thing is just FHD+ on a small screen makes such a big difference. Everything should be at least FHD+ and if you're going to solder ram 12GB min.

For browsing and using apps FHD is enough. Even my MacBook uses low resolution by default which is under FHD. If I try to use max supported resolution everything appears too tiny. So highest resolution is really is for people who wants to do some video streaming and gaming or anything to do with creative art/ video editing work.
