Dual function. High pressure only version has common connector that you find on most inflators.
thanks.

will this work on the SUPs with the adapters that were provided earlier in the thread.

The connection point for car tires is plastic and sucks, I would avoid it if that is your main use case.

Generally these inflators are not good for SUPs. I dont have this exact one, but you typically want a two stage inflator.

It's not just about the connection type. The high volume setting may work decently well, but that's still at basically 0psi. Then you have to inflate the SUP to 15psi which will take an hour or more using the high pressure feature. Most inflators can't even stay on that long given their duty cycle.

Better options are either an air compressor or two stage SUP inflator.

Funny enough I bought this last week from the HD gift section for $49.xx as my 10 yr old dual inflator finally crapped out. This and the few LED lights is all that I have left to use with the Ryobi batteries. The plastic quick connect is the weak point. I wasn't a fan and didn't see it lasting very long as the dual inflator is mostly used for tires. I used it for a day and returned it.
Picked up the Milwaukee M18 inflator and ordered a brass quick connect chuck. It doesn't have the high volume pump for the odd pool blow up and air mattress, but that side of my old Ryobi dual inflator still works.

Has anyone found an alternative adapter that can be put on this one? Either a better metal quick connect or traditional chuck style?

Something like this. Hoping it just has to be put on Ryobi plastic adapter once securely then leave it on.

It took me a few times to figure out. Now I use this pump with no more air escaping than the old one. This is what I do:
1) Pull the outer ring up.
2) Press the connector down as far down the stem as you can.
3) release outer ring immediately.
Personally I think this is better design much faster after a few practices.
I tried it but holding the outer ring up prevents pushing the connector down onto the stem. It looks like the opening becomes smaller when holding it up, which is how it locks onto the threads.

I ended up buying this adapter. It is so much better! I just put it on Ryobi's existing quick connect and twisted a few times to thread it on all the way. Using it for tires after that was dead simple. I will just be leaving it on.

It has separate high volume and high pressure. I 3d printed an adapter for the high volume connection to an SUP connection and for the high pressure i ordered the connector. Only the high pressure has pressure monitoring/auto shutoff. Took about 15 mins to fill up my SUP to 14psi using both connections.

May be my direct was not clear. Look at the youtube vid @10:20. After a few practice runs, this connection is much faster.

The video shows what I was doing. I couldn't figure out why sometimes it seals and sometimes it doesn't. I gave it at least 100 practice runs but only topped up 20 tires. The success rate wasn't improving either, so I returned it when picking up the high pressure only inflator.

How does this compare to the $25 one?

Edit: I think I figured it out. The $25 deal is for high pressure inflation applications only (tires, balls) while this one does that but also works for high *volume* inflation like air mattresses and it can deflate.

The $25 deal blows. This one sucks too.
