Online chat. I asked how they could do it without imei, jusy using order#. He mentioned that the backend team would have it. Again, I'm still not 100% confident with what he said. Can confirm in two days when I have the phone.
Please keep us updated. Thank you!

Is the web accurate? Mine shows unlock on the google site, but when I tried to use a T-mobile SIM card, it's still not working.
I am not planning to open this as I bought this for a gift. However I checked the IMEI in the T-mobile for instance using their BYOD checker and it says not network locked and eligible ("This device is not blocked from use on our network.")

I have not opened the phone. As per the google repair site, and T-mobile BYOD section the device is unlocked.

That is interesting. I received the phone on Saturday. I just got update from the ticket that I originally mentioned today that unlock was successful. Verified this using google repair services: https://store.google.com/us/repair?hl=en-US

Are you saying that the phone got unlocked immediately after purchase? You didn't have to wait the "mandatory" 60 days?

I bought a pixel from Spectrum. It was locked but that google repair page showed it was unlocked, which wasn't true. OEM unlocking was disabled

What did you tell them to convince them to unlock immediately?

How did you get $299 price without being a Mint customer?

TBH I did not try convincing. It could be just a sensible rep I incidentally got in touch. I contacted via online chat to see if the device can be kept sealed in the box and unlocked after 60 days, while keeping the number activated through Mint on my S24 FE. The rep said "yes" and he himself told that I can be unlocked right away and created a ticket for it. It was on Thu when I contacted them, and today got an update that it was unlocked.

Did you contact Mint and ask them to open a ticket to unlock it?
