A notification will appear on the phone saying carrier locked has been removed.

The OEM unlocking in developer mode will be clickable from greyed out.
Ty, oem unlocking still grayed out. Started new chat and told my info would be sent to back end team.

I had the same issue they said was unlocked and when I stuck in another Sim it did not work because it said it was locked. I chatted them told them it's not working they said it is unlocked then there's not much more they could do. They also suggested to do a factory reset on the phone and that did the trick!

I chatted with mint. They asked for my account email. In same convo they said my phones were unlocked. How do i see if the phone is still locked without dropping in a sim?
Were you able to unlock multiple phones in the same chat request? And if so, did you need to have eSIM installed / activated before you contacted customer service?

You can buy the phone without the plan for $300.
I called CS to verify that I could just transfer sim from a mint 6A. My Lady will enjoy her Xmas upgrade. The $548 pixel from Amazon will be returned. Happy shopper. Thanks Mint. Enjoy

Is anyone having trouble with Mint support chat on the web? It doesn't load for me, on any browser or device. I thought it was my VPN, but that didn't help either.

EDIT: Disregard, I was able to finally get chat support on their help page: https://www.mintmobile.com/help-center/ No other page was loading chat correctly for me.

Thank you so much for this! I was able to follow these instructions. One thing to note:

In step 1, I activated my 3 month plan and was able to create an account password in the next step. I then proceeded to your step 2 without installing the eSIM (since my old phone does not have eSIM compatibility) and I was able to place the order for the phone for $299+tax.

I hope they don't cancel my order. I'll report back about the unlock after I get the phone and chat with customer service. Thanks again for your help, sir!
I just did the same process. When I got to the "Install your eSIM" page, I just stopped there, and used the link above in a new tab to order the phone at $299. The shopping cart page wasn't logged in to my account, if it I tried to it would go away from the shopping cart page. So I just ordered it (after several tries, ended up having to use a different CC than what I ordered the plan with for some reason). Total was $30 3mo plan + $7 local fees, + $299 = $336.

If anyone is looking to buy a Pixel 9 from the Google store, I have a special code that will give you $50 Google Store credit towards a future order, it stacks on top of other discounts and trade in too. It expires on December 17. DM me if interested.

I asked for both at the same time. Didnt have esim installed. Still waiting though. Ended up installing esim on 1 device and got a text saying my device should be unlocked in 24 hrs. Still waiting.
