Oh, on a side note, since the app isn't letting me edit the original post, this is a reissue of the original G1 toy, but in toon accurate colors. The trailer is kind of plain looking, as a result and most of the chrome is done in white. I think it's an especially cool approach for the 40th anniversary, but if you want original toy accurate, this isn't the one.

Oops forgot to post this this morning I got it to go with my 25th anniversary version. Can't believe that was only $27 and this one is regular price $75
It came with a DVD a comic and a sound box.

That blows. I got 2 Blasters and 2 Soundwaves. Luckily they arrived mint. Hoping for the same with Optimus.

I have all the latest Optimus reissues, 25th anniversary, Walmart cab only from several years back, missing link, and this one. In the pictures, this one looks really plain because of the cartoon accurate colors, but in person, it actually felt a lot more nostalgic to me because of the colors. I am kicking myself in the head because I had a feeling this would go on sale when I paid full price for it, but am glad I have it none the less. I'm tempted to get another one to keep sealed at this price.

All that said, the missing link is still the best one IMO, except for the small detail that roller doesn't launch out of the trailer.

Purchased this back in October. Tried asking Walmart chat for a partial refund for the difference, which they declined (per their policy). Then, I asked if they could issue a promo code instead. They obliged and issued me a $10 promo code. YMMV

So I'll return the October order and rebuy at the lower price (with the promo code). 😉

There's also a 30% CB from a site, which I just noticed after I placed my order. 🤦 . Rhymes with ding.

I told myself I wasn't going to buy these but ended up buying them.. the nostalgia hits me hard.

It's funny though since I never had the original since it was before my time (grew up on the "G2" run of the show), but at this point I think I've got a dozen different G1 Prime reissues or masterpieces.

Watch the details oftentimes transformers is under collectibles which is never a good cash back percentage. Found that out multiple times.

My son is really into transformers right now and I'm going to be honest, that brand needs serious help. The video games look awful and the toys are bad. The cheap junk is still nearly $40 and the good toys are insanely priced

The original was 25 or $30 in the mid '80s. Inflation adjusted, this is a discount, the $75 price is more in line
