I just called Verizon and got to their customer retention team saying I'd like to explore options on discounts since I'm also looking at going to T-Mobile.
They gave me a lifetime $25 discount + $10 discount per line for the next 12 months and I can call back after 12 months to extend basically ask for that discount again.
Now I'm a Verizon customer of 16 years and it is the week of thanksgiving aka black friday and cyber monday so they may pull extra strings.
I also think I am overpaying so maybe they gave me discounts to get to an average of what people are paying. I was paying $135 for 2 lines, now I'm at $90.
Take this as you wish but this is just my experience today the Monday before thanksgiving.

I'm on the 5G Play More plan and I barely use the Hulu/Disney that comes with it. I had hoped they'd offer another deal to get Netflix cheap for a year but I have seen one, so there's no reason for me to remain loyal.
Verizon is a shitty company in a lot of ways, but not because of their network coverage. They've probably invested more into that than any other US carrier.

I also switched over to the new Unlimited Welcome plan since it was about $9 less than the old discontinued plan now that the $10/line stopped and the $10 paperless/auto went down to $5 and also charging $3 for being in the old plan. So for 6 lines it's $27/line now. Oh and they're taking $20 off for 55+ for the account.
I'll try to call retention and see if they can do the $10 off/line for a year again, and $25 off lifetime.
