I wanted to like these LG monitors but the resolution is the same as 34" monitors. Stretching that resolution over an additional 9" has to look terrible. Also they apparently have a bad matte coating that defeats the entire purpose of owning an OLED.

On lg partnermall can bring it down to 800 (after tax) with the coupon and chase 5% (via paypal). Wish there was a way to get the cashback on top

I bought one this week and ended up returning it, pixel density was rough . I'm interested in trying out the 39"

What did you think of the matte screen? I'm also interested in the 39" and I like the aggressive curve, but negative reviews of the matte coating have me worried.

Tbh I didn't spend enough time, to form an opinion on the matte. The games I played all looked great outside the ppi

My main issue with this monitor is the steep curve. I sit 5 feet from my monitor, which is a 34" Ultrawide. This 45" screen would be perfect for my situation except the curve is so tight that the whole image is terribly distorted from the distance I sit at. Yep, I went to Best Buy with a tape measure to squat in front of the demo one at the correct distance.

Pixel density is just fine at that distance, but the picture is crushed at the edges. Like this was DESIGNED to look bad up close AND from a distance.
