For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

I have used several different emails for this deal over the years because it used to only be for new users. In the last year or so they let you resubscribe if your account hadn't been active in at least a year so I started using old emails again.

No option. They are forcing people out of the Disney (No ads). If you try to get a discount on Hulu it will pull and take your Disney no ads add on. Happened to me. I just cancelled the old account and signed up for the $2.99 plan with ads. Hulu not worth that price even to keep the Disney no ads add on in my opinion.

I just signed up for the $10.99 disney duo and even watched some hulu but apparently was able to get my cancellation in before teh next bill kicked in. I restarted one of my 2 old hulu emails. The first email was glitching on the verification code part and had me thinking this was the slickdeals effect but when I set up the second email it was good to go. Set the TVs back up so RIP to our saved shows, etc. who cares I'll live and save $84!

edit: $96 savings over 12 months
