For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

I can't make a new account, must not be smart enough.

I believe you make a new account and use the same email by using a + sign. For example, instead of [email protected], you could use [email protected]. When sent an email, it will ignore the text between the + and the email domain.

Many people (myself included) would not watch this ad version even if it was free.
Then why thread crap? Don't like Hulu then why come in a Hulu thread?

Ugh, a few hours ago I searched the internet and Slickdeals and found no deal for 2024. So, a few hours before this post I resubscribed using the $2.99 6-month deal that popped up when I tried to cancel last year's deal which was ending today. Do I have to create a new account and use a new card to get the .99 cent deal?
Yes, I grabbed the $2.99 deal. Used a different payment and different email to grab the $2.99 Hulu & Disney+ deal. Then cancelled the $2.99 deal I had. A small price to pay (1 month of the old deal) to secure that deal.

Hold up, where's that Starz add-on we got last year 😒

Yes, Starz sucks, but I need to finish Power Book 2 and Power Book 4 (when it's released in Spring '25)

Edit: it's back! https://www.hulu.com/starz

My data point -

I have 3 hulu accounts, all with different emails. Subscription with email1 ended just 1-2 week ago, so I wasn't expecting that to work for re-sub now.
Subscription with email2 had ended more than 1 year ago (before last BF). But this deal didn't work for that either. As soon as I clicked the button on offer page, billing page shows full price.
Only the email3 worked, which I don't know when I had used last.
I used the same Citi debit card that I had used in email1.

Anyway... question ->
How do I see "My Stuff" in email1 hulu or watchlist from email1 Disney+? I can't??

That's my understanding, the Watchlist stuff is lost, but if there is a way around this it would be great! It seems this is the real downside of switching accounts

And more reason why Disney is getting zero money from me

Created a new account and clicked the link. Did the Disney+ plan and was going through PayPal checkout. Everything kept saying $2.99, I clicked submit and received a pop-up saying " you aren't eligible for this promotion". It then billed me $10.99. Guess I'll need to do a charge back
The deal didn't work for me with PayPal, it only worked with a credit card.

They can't help themselves. Just negative individuals.

Cancelled last week, hoping this would come up. Would not let me rejoin under the old account. Signed up with a new email, paid with Paypal, no issues. Good for another 12 months.

Didn't see if this was already asked, but is there an option to go add-free as an add-on once you get in on this deal? I did Peacock $30 for a year up front, then added $6 /mth for ad-free. Assuming this is only for the ad supported version with no option to add ad-free, but any thoughts or experience would be great.

No. I had this deal last year and there was no option for ad-free add on.
